Favourite ship design?

1. Millennium Falcon
2. X-Wing
3. Outrider YT-2400 (Shadows of the Empire)
4. Slave 1
5. Y-Wing
6. Correlian Corvette
7. Jedi Starfighter (Delta)
8. New X-Wing
9. B-Wing
10. Star Destroyer

Personal scale:

Purely for aesthetics? The Lambda-class shuttle

If I had to take one into a fight? Slave One

Capital scale:

Purely for aesthetics: Executor

Going into a fight: The Interdictor-class Star Destroyer - but I'm switching out the TIE Fighters onboard for either TIE Advanceds, K-Wings, or Firesprays. Whichever I can fit the most of. ;)

It's predictable, but I keep coming back to the Falcon. She's not just a ship, but also both a character in her own right and a home. She's large enough to live in, but small enough to be cozy and personal. I'd love to be able to walk around in that ship and explore her idiosyncratic nooks and crannies.

That's a great description, now where do I get one for myself? (I guess that's something we all want to know...)

From the prequels, I always loved the Republic transport we saw at the beginning of the movie. But the Jedi Starfighter from ROTS was also very cool.

Number one will always be the Falcon. Because she's the Falcon.

Imperial Star Destroyers (original trilogy ANH, ESB, ROTJ and Force Awakens)
TIE Fighters (original trilogy ANH, ESB, ROTJ and Force Awakens)
X-Wings (original trilogy ANH, ESB, ROTJ and Force Awakens)

From the prequels, I had a soft spot for Obi-Wan's fighter from AOTC with the hyperdrive ring. That was a nifty-looking bit of business.

Absolute favorite? The Twin Ion Engine Interceptor:

It's like the Empire said: "You guys think X-Wings are hot shit? Well here's a TIE fighter with four turbolasers! How do you like that shit?"

My runners-up:

TIE Fighter
Star Destroyer
Super Star Destroyer
Millennium Falcon
Medical Frigate

Have always preferred the Y-wing over the X-wing as far as fighters go. It has that really cool workhorse vibe that an A-10 Warthog or F-4 Phantom does.

But the queen of SW spacecraft is and always will be the Millennium Falcon. Don't care if it is realistic or practical or any of that. It's just freakin' cool and that's all it needs.

[Star Wars RPG Player] Actually, they're blaster cannons, and the TIE/In has SIX. (Two on the bottom fore of the cockpit area, four on wingtips.) Turbolasers are cap ship weapons [/nerd] ;)

I stand corrected, considering that just makes it awesomer!

I'm a big fan of the Mon Cal designs, even the Scythe from Star Wars Legacy.

from a technical standpoint, the tie defender from LucasArts' tie fighter computer game would eat any other fighter for breakfast. Four laser cannons, two ion cannons, a payload of warheads, and faster and more heavily shielded than anything the rebels had. Absolutely no reason for the empire not to use them if they had them.

Thou beatest me to the punch! :D

Interesting to note that in the original Battlestar Galactica pilot (Saga of a Star World), Apollo refers to the weapons on a Colonial Viper as "turbo lasers". LOL!

Oh, and btw, if anyone has ever listened to the Star Wars Radio Play of A New Hope, General Dodonna refers to an X-wing's missile weapons as: "photon torpedoes". :D
