Favourite ship design?

My favorites are a "Lambda" shuttle, and a B-wing. Both gorgeous.

Naboo ships lok amazing as well, the N1 starfighters, and those chrome cruisers.

When I first heard neighborhood kids talk about "Tie" fighters, I imagined them as having some near mystical ability to somehow match whatever vehicle they were fighting against--thus a "tie."

And I was bummed that those were solar panels.

I like the Tyderium style shuttles, but their scale always seems to be a bit off. When it first emerges from a Star Destroyer, they look huge because the SD's are huge. But then we look at the cockpit and Vader coming you of the shuttle, and it looks like it must be tiny it you were to compare it to a SD. Then (in one of the ROTJ special effects blooper) Vader emerges from the shuttle on the landing pad on Endor and the scale doesn't look quite right.

Some type of sensor--maybe a partial cloak. Turn to the side--and the cockpit vanishes.
I was 11 at the time--so I liked the mystery.

Unlike Star Trek, there are so many unique designs in Star Wars that it is tough to pick a favorite.

I guess the list would go:

Millennium Falcon
Star Destroyer
Tie Fighter
X-Wing

Polar opposite design approaches for SW and ST.

In Trek, the ships are lanky, lots of complex shapes. With SW, you have a simple spearhead for the Star Destroyers--but super-detailed out the wazoo.

I want to see both.

The ships of Naboo are striking and beautiful. I also quite like the unconventionality of the Trade Federation battleships.
The warships of the Republic are attractive, too. They have SO much more character than their later evolved Imperial cousins.

I like the Naboo Royal Starship.

Yeah. It's not a totally unique design but it's nice and sleek without all sorts of busy protrusions and stuff. I do like the tie fighters though.

The Super Star Destroyer. Since I was a kid, I've been the closest thing you can be to being in love with an... er... fictional spaceship as you can be.
