Favourite Mentor? Yoda, Gandalf, Kenobi, Dumbledore, Merlin?

I voted Merlin, but Gandalf and Yoda were close seconds. My issue with Dumbeldore is that he continued to hide information from Harry, even after repeatedly seeing the problems caused by not telling Harry the truth.

I voted for Obi-Wan Kenobi, although I'm more of a fan of the Ewan McGregor version than the Alec Guinness version. (It's because I kinda look like McGregor back when he had the Jedi mullet in Attack of the Clones.)

But in some ways, I've been thinking about more unconventional, reluctant mentors, like Doyle from Angel.

Remember the Power Rangers Zeo episode where Jason had come back as the Gold Ranger and Rocky was all depressed & angry because he thought that no one liked him anymore? Despite what the end of the episode might want us to believe, I think it's clear that Rocky was right! No one liked Rocky. The doors to the Power Chamber even closed right in front of his face just to spite him!

Gandalf - both Yoda and ObiWan were too manipulative in the original trilogy for my liking, and in TPM I frankly could have force-pushed the "younger" Yoda out of the council chamber...

As for the rest, well I don't really know about them (unless you count the Disney version of Merlin from Sword in the Stone...)
