Favourite Delta quadrant aliens?

So...what's your favourite Delta Quadrant alien race? (I'm thinking species not introduced outside Voyager - i.e. not the Borg). And why?

My favorite are 8472. I liked how alien they were. We rarely see non humanoid aliens in Trek
That was a bit of a rare occurance, wasn't it. I don't know if you ever watched Babylon 5, but the 8472s sort of remind me of the Vorlons of Babylon 5. Maybe because the the ships both being sort of biological in nature.

I really liked the idea of the Voth. Because, well, they're intelligent dinosaurs. I sort of wished Gegen could have come with them.

I like Species 8472 much for the same reason as Sophie but also because they were the underdog once the Borg and Voyager ganged up on them. Of course I get why..

It was kind of a startling shock that another species had the Borg on the run.

I have to write the Ocampa because of Kes! :)

Although I do find the nine year lifespan silly. The Ocampa on Suspiria's array was much more exciting.

If I should pick a species, then it would be the Vori because of their language and the Voth.

I also like the Kazon and the Vidiians (good villains), The Talaxians (nice and funny) and many other as well, including some really interesting species from the Voyager books!

Who are your favorite book aliens? I rather like the bear like creatures that the Voyager crew encountered in Marooned. Also on that same planet, that telepathic creature (it was like a squirrel or ferret).
Neelix thought it was his pet. But didn't Tuvok mindmeld with it and informed Neelix that it thought of him as a pet that needed taken care of.

I liked the Vori too. And all the Talaxians, like the ones in basics, and Neelix' friend in fair trade.

Yes, that's in "Marooned", my second favorite Voyager book.
"The Black Shore" is my favorite!

And the bearlike creatures were called the Sshous-shin.They were smarter than expected! :bolian:

As for favorites in the books, the villains in "The Black Shore" made the Borg look like well-behaved schoolkids. The Hachai and the P'Nir who had been at war for centuries were interesting ("Ragnarok") and the Sperians in "Incident At Arbuk" were unique if anything. But if I should pick one, then it will be the Kirse from "The Garden", much because of the twist at the end of the book.

Yeah I do think 8472 might be the best because they are different and effectively frightening. But I also LOVE the Voth! They felt suitably alien (not just forehead of the week) with a good dinosaur origin story! Plus I personally adore how they are introduced in Distant Origin, how we really experience their POV before interaction with our heroes. I think that made them come alive more as a species and civilisation.
