Caipirinha. But I couldn't begin to explain what's in it...
Caipirinhas are the Brazilian tranny sister of a mojito. Personally, I'm happy to swing both ways.
Cocktails would a pill combination be allowed in this line up?
Something should come up with a proper recipe book for illicit drug cocktails. Say, two uppers for each downer? So you can mix coke and speed, but if you then decide drink booze, you should stay off the xanax. That's responsible drinking, right there, surely...?
Martini. Gin. The only way a martini should be had. 2 olives, preferably blue cheese.
You're sick individual; bad things will happen to you. Probably involving used cocktail sticks.
I love cocktails, but only the ones without alcohol. I don´t know the names though.
You usually add virgin in front of the name of boozy version. Either that or come up with deliciously (revoltingly) cutesy name like a Shirley Temple or Roy Rogers.
Actually, if you want a mocktail, one of the best is a Gunner. I think that's what it's called anyway. It's lemonade, ginger beer (the non-alcoholic kind), squeeze of lime and a dash of Angostura. Good summery drink.
I never knew they existed as an official drink though; I invented them independently, I swear, and then was incredibly disappointed when someone told me it already existed as a mocktail recipe. Foiled again! Though I used diet Sprite in mine instead of lemonade.
Since the last few summers I've come to appreciate the
Mojito (white rum, sugar, lime, seltzer and mashed mint leaves), but it's mostly a beach cocktail for me.
The three-fingered barman in the Barbados Hilton mixes (mixed? duuno if he's still there) a mean mojito.
When I was younger, I used to drink stronger cocktails like Blue Angel (gin, cointreau, curaçao)
Curacao is potent stuff. First day in university we had an official meet & greet where they served 3 different cocktails: White, Blue and Red (or maybe it was Green, I forget..). Unsurprising the Blue was very, very heavy on the curacao.
I don't think a mojito's a gay drink.
Depends on how many pink paper umbrellass are added sureyly?
I don't often mix myself a full-blown cocktail, though I do enjoy long drinks--either lemon soda and cognac, or grapefruit soda and gin.
When I do mix a cocktail, it's generally either a whiskey sour (bourbon, lemon juice, sugar) or a brandy alexander (cognac, creme de cacao, and coffee cream).
You're a very civilised gent. Brandy Alexanders are killer cool.
They used to serve Pina Coladas in a large glass mug that looked like a lighthouse [their logo]. Unbeknownst to me, my dad had the server keep refilling my mug with Pina Coladas. I vaguely remember my youngest half-brother taking my car keys... then waking up two days later on Dad's sofa feeling great, with no trace of the flu!!
That's the mark of a good father! Leaving aside simple things like a G&T, I think a Pina Colada was possibly the first cocktail I ever had. Either that or a daiquiri. Still kind of like them as an occasional silly treat, but they have an insan e amount of calories in them.
