I apologize if this has already been done. If so, feel free to close it.

With the release of Spectre, I'm curious about everyone's favourites?

Mine are:

Casino Royale
Live And Let Die
The Living Daylights
For Your Eyes Only

Goldfinger and The Spy Who Loved Me are on my "watch list."

Moonraker. I'm not a Bond fan. But I like it because it has to do with space travel. :)

And Michael Lonsdale is a great villain.

The scenes with Jaws are memorable.

I'm not interested in movies with Daniel Craig as Bond, though.

"Dr. No" and "From Russia With Love" for sure. And occasionally "Goldfinger."

The franchise turned into a joke after that.

Spy Who Loved Me (and best theme tune)

For spy thrills and good fun I like Casino Royale best, and Dr No after that. I also enjoy The Living Daylights, for it's harder edged Bond.

Goldeneye was pretty decent, but gets a special place in the history of the franchise for inspiring one of the greatest video games of all time. Boy did the Brosnan movies get stupid fast after that though.

I liked Pierce Brosnan as Bond, I just didn't like his movies. Well except for The World Is Not Enough but I think it's because that was my first Bond movie. Die Another Day was terrible!

From Russia With Love
Goldeneye
Casino Royale
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
The Living Daylights
For Your Eyes Only

Goldfinger
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
The Spy Who Loved Me
Goldeneye
Casino Royale
Skyfall
Spectre (after 2 viewings, I'm pretty sure it's already my favourite 007 film)

On Her Majesty's Secret Service
From Russia With Love
You Only Live Twice
Goldfinger
The Spy Who Loved Me
For Your Eyes Only

One from each Bond, in order of preference.

1. Casino Royale / From Russia With Love

3. OHMSS
4. The World Is Not Enough
5. The Living Daylights
6. For Your Eyes Only

From Russia With Love
Goldfinger
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
The Spy Who Loved Me
For Your Eyes Only
The Living Daylights
Licence to Kill
GoldenEye
Tomorrow Never Dies
Casino Royale

OHMSS
The Living Daylights
For Your Eyes Only
From Russia With Love
Goldeneye

My top ten:

1. Thunderball
2. From Russia with Love
3. Casino Royale
4. License to Kill
5. Goldeneye
6. Skyfall (would place far higher if its final act was better)
7. For Your Eyes Only
8. Dr. No
9. Goldfinger
10. On Her Majesty's Secret Service

My top ten:

1. Thunderball
2. From Russia with Love
3. Casino Royale
4. License to Kill

Definitely agree with top 4 :techman:. Love Thunderball (though don't think aged as well as FRWL) and think Licence To Kill very underrated. Also have a soft spot for cheesier ones like Spy Who Loved Me and Live & Let Die.

1. You Only Live Twice
2. Thunderball
3. From Russia With Love
4. Licence To Kill
5. Casino Royale
6. Spy Who Loved Me
7. Live & Let Die
8. Dr No
9. Goldfinger
10. The Living Daylights

Brosnan is fun but can't say any are faves (prefer his Thomas Crown remake tbh).

And the recent Everything Wrong With Quantum of Solace just reminded me what a cack-handed mess that was

:p

No, but seriously... I've seen all the Brosnan and Craig's pre-SPECTRE ones, and I'm not sure I can say I really like any of them. Casino Royale is no doubt the best of that lot, but the second half isn't as strong as the first. (There's just no good reason not to arrest and interrogate Le Chiffre as soon as they meet up with him.) I saw Goldfinger once, but much too long ago to properly remember it. Watched Dr. No a few years back, and was mostly bored. Watched most of The Living Daylights around the same time and really enjoyed what I saw, but was interrupted and didn't get around to finishing it. As for Skyfall... the less said the better, IMO. At least Quantum of Solace had the decency to take itself out back and shoot itself before the two-hour mark. It says something when I find the first Austin Powers more emotionally involving than most actual Bond flicks.

There was a time, back in middle school, when I thought Tomorrow Never Dies was just the coolest and most badass movie around. Naturally, I don't think that anymore... but it does have a pretty great opening sequence, right? As does GoldenEye and Casino Royale. Can I just cite those three opening sequences as my favorite short films featuring some bloke named James Bond?

1. You Only Live Twice

I would definitely place this #1 among Bond theme songs at the least. There's a good reason it's been recorded by everybody and their dog. :techman:

Probably my favourite Bond theme too. And Bjork's my favourite of covers.

Though this is close contender for best Bond theme-that-never-was...

you should :). Has a great third act action scene on a plane that's been plagiarised/ripped-off/homaged by other movies and videogames.
