Favorite Worf one-liners

Worf had the funniest lines on a DS9 episode I saw the other day. Worf and Garek are sent on a mission together and when Sisko is discussing it with him, he casually promises, "I will kill Garek at the first sign of betrayal...but I will return the body intact."

Sisko: "I hope you're joking"
Worf: "We'll see"

In "Imaginary Friend" Worf issues an alert to his security officers
"Be on the look out for an invisible blond girl."

i agree that he had much better one liners in DS9.. Some other favorites include, "Nice hat." and the running gag, "delicious."

"Comfortable Chair" - The Emissary

That scene where he destroys the lute then says "sorry", is straight from Animal House, in case anyone missed the similarity.

Picard: "A horse"
Worf: "of course"

In "Liasons":

"I...am going to KILL HIM with my BARE HANDS! I'm going to take him by the throat--AND RRRRRRRRRRRRRRIP OUT HIS ESOPHAGUS!!!"

Just watched this one myself. Two favorites"

"You see! You see! They are insane!"

"It was...excruciating"

"You are an insulting, pompous fool, and if you were not an ambassador I would disembowel you right here"

 YES! His protests to Locutus in that episode were so funny.

"THE KLINGON EMPIRE WILL NEVER YIELD!"

You tell 'em, Worf. :)

I'm surprised no one mentioned this. On DS-9, when Worf is informed that Keiko O'Brien is about to give birth,

"Now?!?"

The look of panic on his face is priceless.

Worf's response to Riker asking him how he liked his first experience of being in command of a ship:

"Comfortable chair."

This exchange, choc full o' witty Worf (and Guinan) one-liners:

"Y'know, I don't get you. You always drink alone. It wouldn't hurt to seek a little...companionship."

"I would require a Klingon woman for companionship. Earth females are too fragile.":klingon:

"I dunno. Some women on this ship might find you...tame."

"BWAH-HAW-HAW-HAW-HAW-HAWWWWWWWW!!! Im...pos-ible!"

"How will you know if you never try?"

"Then I will never know."

"Coward."

"I was mearely expressing concern for the safety of my crewmates...."

"Enjoy your prune juice."

That's one of the best things about Worf...his brevity. He's the total antithesis of rambling overly talkative Data (don't get me wrong, I find Data's rambling hilarious). I was watching an interview once with Michael Dorn where he explained that there was a scene in "Insurrection" where Riker asks him something and in the script he goes on this big long tangent about his feelings and Dorn requested that it simply be changed to "No," in order for the dialogue to be more in character. And he was right. That's what Worf is all about. Not trying to be witty, eloquent, or thorough in his statements...just getting straight to the point with no bullshit. And most of the time, it's exactly that approach that makes him so damn funny. :)

For a Klingon Worf liked to use the word "nice" a lot.

"Nice legs"

"Nice hat"

"Nice house"

Nice planet"

Plus, Worf is a bit "gruff" by human standards, so his usage of the word "nice" is his way of trying to be polite and less intimidating to Terrans and other more mild species.

From Time's Orphan, when Worf is babysitting for the Obrien's:

Worf: "I am a Klingon warrior and a
Starfleet officer. I've piloted
Starships through Dominion
minefields, I've stood in battle
against Kelvans twice my size, I
courted and won the heart of the
magnificent Jadzia Dax. If I can
do those things... then I can make
this child sleep."
