Favorite U.S.S. Enterprise starship design?

My favorite would probably be the Enterprise-B. However, I really like the Enterprise-E a lot as well, and the original 1701 and A are really great designs as well, so the three of them aren't too far behind the B in my eyes. :bolian: After that would be the D. The C is a nice looking ship but it doesn't get me to look twice like any of the others I've already mentioned do. As for the Enterprise-J... that thing is pretty fucking ugly...

I prefer the TOS 1701. It's the only one that I never get tired looking at. My second favorite would be the E-D.

Put me in the camp of Galaxy-class/Enterprise-D fans. For some reason I really liked that design. It's probably my favorite of all ships.

I liked the interiors of Voyager better, though.

This one

followed closely by this one

and this one.

:D

(Ok, ok... technically the Ent-B doesn't look quite the same as the Excelsior in this pic - which is, in fact, the Excelsior herself. But I like both variants of the Excelsior class, and just think that this is an awesome shot anyway.)

^That's a nice image of Excelsior! God I love that ship. Conversely, I cant stand the Ent-B with it's glued on bits. It really trashes up a sleek and elegant design.

I pride myself on my frighteningly large collection of slick ship pics.

But yeah... honestly, I do like the original Excelsior design better. I still like the Ent-B refit, just not quite as much.

They're both ugly.

Squat fat little ships. Like R2D2 sprouting longer legs and sporting a sombrero.

USS Enterprise (2009 version)

Nemesis Enterprise-E (with slightly raised warp nacelles and about a dozen more torpedo tubes and phaser arrays)

NX-01

TMP - TUC Enterprise refit/-A (although it looks quite frail nowadays)

"All Good Things..." alternate-future Enterprise Dreadnought upgrade. Totally insane.

You don't have a sexy Ambassador Class shot by any chance? Been looking for a nicely rendered one for some time...

Favorite: The TOS Enterprise. Clean, classic, perfectly proportioned. Looks good from every angle.

Runner-up: The TMP Refit / Enterprise-A (same model, slightly different paint job). The “aztec” patterns give it the detail to convincingly portray a 1000-foot-long vessel on the big screen while keeping the “smooth” Trek esthetic. It took me a while to warm to the art-deco styled nacelles, but I like them now.

All the others are pretenders to the throne.

I agree. Excelsior is a really nice ship. Ent- B. it just doesn't go along with most of the enterprise ships, that pretty much look alike.

Ask and ye shall receive! :D

This is the only one I have on hand (I'm at work, thus can only post what I already have uploaded to ImageShack), but I have a couple more that I will upload & post when I get home. :)

Oh fantastic, that's a gorgeous shot.

Just shows the Ambassador looks great from any angle :techman:

I tend to disagree with that last part... The Enterprise C and E both have definite Excelsior/Ent-B influences in them... Especially the E...

As promised :)

Did I say "a couple"? I meant "a bunch." :D
Refit Enterprise, TMP version. That only one that matters and seemed the most realistic.
Curious what you mean here... "the only one that matters?" And how is it "the most realistic?" They're all based on a similar (completely fictional) overall design aesthetic, which - like the vast majority of Trek ship designs (including all Starfleet designs) - is pretty much totally unconcerned with real-life realism.

Favorite Enterprise? hmm first place both the original 1701 and Proberts refit.

I Like the A and D quite a bit.

I don't like Ent E, it looks stupid, same with the B, what idiot would point impulse engines straight at the nacelles/pylons?

The NX just leaves me cold, just a bit meh.

As for the 2009 version of the 1701, I simply don't have enough insults to describe my utter hate of that pile of shit.
