When I was in seventh grade, for a month or more it seemed like the biggest thing in the world for most girls was Luke and Laura on General Hospital. Which was weird, because the show came on while we were at school. But it was a huge story, in all the papers and magazines and TV news. It wasn't till a few years ago that I found out that it was really a creepy story because, before they became a hot couple, Luke had raped Laura. Yikes.

I was 14 at the time and remember the wedding and the...other storyline, well.

When Fallon married Jeff
Not really a favourite tv wedding but thats the one i kinda remember..its like... 35 years ago.
EDIT: Dynasty

Jim and Pam on The Office is my gold-standard for TV weddings. Of course April & Andy, as well as Ben & Leslie from Parks and Recreation also rank highly.

After Anthony Geary became super-popular, they had to retcon it since this was before the time when the "redeemed-rapist" actually owned up to his deeds and became a changed person (ie. Todd Manning on OLTL; he struggled for over 15 years to deal with his actions).

Fun fact: Laura is still on the show and is expecting a proposal from Kevin any day now.

I wasn't watching GH back in those days; the first major soap wedding I recall enjoying was Jake and Megan on One Life to Live (Jessica Tuck is now playing a villain on GH).

Woody and (whatever his girlfriend's name was) on Cheers - the whole episode was essentially an old fashioned farce with the gang working behind the scenes to put out fires so the wedding could go on. If I remember correctly, they didn't even show the actual ceremony. Anyhoo, that one gets my vote.

This wedding has not, technically speaking, happened, but I'm holding out hope that it will. And it will be epic:

Olivia Benson and Ed Tucker on Law & Order: SVU

That was a good one for late-run Cheers. And her name? It was "Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly K-E-L-L-Y..."

TV weddings and pregnancies usually just annoy me. Just check out the last few seasons of Friends or The Big Bang Theory. Bleh.

Lois and Clark (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman)

And even though it was just a dream, Lois & Superman’s wedding in the 1950’s “Adventures Of Superman”.

Also “Judy’s Elopement” from the Jetsons. Seeing George trying to stop Judy from marrying Spacely’s nephew, only to learn that she was helping to arrange the marriage between Spacely’s nephew and Asteroid Cogswell, Cogswells daughter!

Ross and Emily on Friends...I feel like this season-ending episode, and the first episode of the next season, were the high point for this series.
