Reminds me of the Boba Fett hype. I still have my autographed pic of him along with Vader's in a box somewhere; they were given out and signed while making publicity appearances all over the country, in 1978 iirc.

Well, Reed is just about my favorite character, no matter what incarnation! I also agree with Lorian - a nice mix of human/Vulcan. And I liked Decker as well - though I only just saw the movie last week for the first time , and I found it unusually difficult to separate the character from the actor....

Have to acknowledge Tryla Scott. She even beat out Kirk's record, reaching Captain faster than anyone else in starfleet history.

I also liked Rixx for some reason, if only that he was the first nonhuman CO we ever saw besides Spock.
