Actually it was "BRAG" all you want - just watched that ep. a few weeks ago.

Personally, I loved Sisko's speech at the end of "A Call to Arms", especially this part:

"And I promise you, I will not rest, until I stand with you...here...in this place where I belong."

Amazingly poignant and sublime. Gives us a strong sense of how Sisko's relationship to DS9 and its inhabitants has grown and developed over time.

And a very good episodes...People can make fun all they want of Brooks (they make fun of shatner too) but his unique delivery was what set him (and shatner I might add) apart from the rest...

The criticism of Sisko's delivery always baffles me too. You'll notice in interviews Brooks does not speak like Sisko. His delivery as Hawk was also completely different. An exasperated captain who sounds like he's got his feathers ruffled all the time is nothing new. Look at Kirk, Picard or Janeway. For every "YOU BETRAYED YOUR UNIFORM!" from Sisko there's a "NO FURTHER" or "TIME'S ...UP!" from someone else.
