TMP -
Non-Dialogue: When the Enterprise enters the V'Ger cloud. Still looks impressive. And those images make for great screen-savers.
Dialogue (I'm cheating a bit here): It's a toss-up between the Klingons vs. V'Ger, Spock failing to achieve Kholinar, and Kirk's grand entrance appearance, not to mention the first appearance of Starfleet Command. So we have our dialogue scenes in Klingon, Vulcan, and English.
TWOK - When Kirk signals Spock to beam them up, Saavik finds out they were talking in code, and then the Enterprise emerges to fight the Reliant. "Not as wounded as we were led to believe. So much the better." "I don't like to lose". Runner-up is when Spock notes Khan's two-dimensional thinking.
TSFS - Kirk and crew steal the Enterprise. The best part is when Kirk doesn't give a shit as Stiles says, "Kirk, you do this, you'll never sit in a Captain's chair again." Captain Stiles is a prissy asshole. I loved when the Excelsior screen flashed "Good morning, Captain." The runner-up is the exchange between Kirk and Kruge at the end of the movie. "You should take the Vulcan too." "No!" "But why?" "Because you wish it." Never, ever give The Enemy anything they want. Until they agree not to be the enemy. On another note, there are more than a few people where I wish I could've said to them, "I! Have had! Enough of! YOU!!!!!"
TVH - Spock in the whale-tank. "Maybe he's singing to that man!" Followed by Kirk's, "Back in the '60s he was part of the Free-Speech Movement at Berkeley.
I think he did a little too much LDS..." "LDS?"
TFF - The scene where Sybok tries to reveal Spock's pain, then McCoy's pain, and finally Kirk's. And Kirk cuts him off. "I don't want my pain taken away. I need my pain!"
TUC - The montage of Kirk, McCoy, and Martia's journey on the surface of Rura Penthe. Runner-Up is the battle between Chang and the Enterprise, at the end.
GEN - Kirk and Picard on horseback. The most alive the movie felt.
FC - I have two answers for this. 17-year-old
Lord Garth: Picard, Worf, and Hawk vs. the Borg on the exterior of the Enterprise. 39-year-old
Lord Garth: Troi's drunk.
"I am not!" "Yes, you are!"
INS - Shit. Ummm... I've got this... Picard putting on that head-piece those aliens we never see again make him put on.... Moving right along.
NEM - Riker and Troi getting married. Then, on the Enterprise, the crew talking about the ceremony on Betazed, ending with Picard saying he'll be in the gym.
2009 - Kirk's birth as the Kelvin is destroyed.
ID - Pike reprimanding Kirk and Spock. Then Pike and Kirk at the bar.
BEY - Spock looking at the photo of the Spock Prime with his crewmates. Leonard Nimoy's true final appearance, in my opinion. Standing proudly on the bridge of the Enterprise, with the crew he served alongside with all there and still alive. That's a moment truly worthy of Star Trek's 50th Anniversary. Then the NuEnterprise-A being built and taking off with the entire new crew giving the "Space, the final frontier..." speech showing to us all "The Adventure Continues." If this is the last film with the Kelvin crew, this is a good note to end it on. Technically, we don't actually need to see anymore. We know that they're still out there and, on a meta level, that Star Trek is still out there.
