The final twenty minutes of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Spock's death and eulogy. The hand-wringing in front of his son, and his son giving him hope. Life, from death, has its final entry with Kirk reborn by Spock's death. Beautiful.

Picard explores the Ba'ku after being stressed by all that war. Thematically, Star Trek may be driving at our quest for knowledge may lead to not exploring one day, without killing Starfleet. Also, Picard has worried about age, and Starfleet is abandoning itself. Would Picard ever leave the Enterprise? This is the time. The effect on our society is explored if we are immortal, and it's their first date. Quite a bit of writing in this one.

Kirk finally is on trial for all he has done...and loses. What an epic scene.

1. Wrath of Khan- Sneak attack
2. Search for Spock- Stealing the Enterprise
3. Final Frontier- Share your pain / I need my pain
4. First Contact- The line must be drawn here
5. Undiscovered Country- Gorkon's assassination
Honorable Mention: Chekov's rescue from TVH

No particular reason...mainly just that these are the best / most gripping moments of the film franchise in my opinion and would have the best shot at piquing someone's interest.

Note: I wouldn't have shown the TWOK death scene, mainly because it's just too special to show someone without context of the entire film.

Five? Yeah. Um. I'm going to "change the conditions" of the list. It's 10 now. "He cheated!"

1. TMP - Klingons vs. V'Ger
2. TWOK - Kirk vs. Khan-controlled Chekov and Terrell.
3. TSFS - Stealing the Enterprise.
4. TUC - The Trial Scene.
5. TSFS - "I! Have had! Enough of. YOU!!!!"
6. TMP - The Enterprise in Drydock.
7. TWOK - When Kirk explains how he handled the Kobyashi Maru. "I don't like to lose."
8. TWOK - Kirk and Saavik in the turbolift, followed by McCoy's entrance.
9. TFF - Sybok's first encounter with the field miner.
10. TVH - The punk on the bus.

Honorable Mentions: The Death of Spock followed by the Funeral Scene. But those are too easy.
