I've always liked the rank of lieutenant commander. I've had a couple of rank pins for that grade over the years from the TOS movies and TNG.

Yeoman (An Ensign)

Yeoman is not an officer's rank, or even an officer's job title. In fact, it's not an enlist rank, or more properly "rate" (pay grade), but rather it's an enlisted "rating" (occupational specialty). I know because I married one.
