Favorite Non-Federation Starships!

People,

I'm sure this has been discussed sometime, but I haven't seen it lately, so here goes.

The reason I wanted to post this topic is I see people debating the merits of Federation ships all the time, but not the other ships as often.

For me, my all-time favorite non-Federation ship is the 24th century D'Deridex Romulan Warbird. I love its lines, how it looks like a vulture, even the green color scheme. It looks like a menacing weapon of war, more so than some of the other ships.

My second favorite for sheer originality is the Ferengi marauder. I like how it resembles a horseshoe crab. Most of the alien ships look birdlike, so I like how theirs looks like a marine animal.

Klingon warships are my third favorite, esp. the class of the Negh'Var (can't recall what it's named).

How about your faves? Would love to hear them.

I'm a bit of a traditionalist. I love the Klingon K'T'inga class. Sheer poetry in motion.

I like the Ringships too. Also the Breen ships because they're so weird - completely unconventional. I still think Borg cubes are neat.

My favorite starship in general is the TOS Romulan Bird of Prey from the episode Balance of Terror. It's my favorite even over all Federation ships.

I liked the Vulcan ships from ENT. I always assumed a toroid nacelle configuration would allow them to form a complete, ship-encompassing warp field utilizing less power than blasting a warp field out of only two nacelles. A very Vulcan solution to the problem.

The D'Deridex Warbird is still an awesome design even twenty years(!) after it first debuted. I also love the Jem'Hadar Battleship.

And I know it's not popular for some reason but the design and colour scheme of the Cardassian Galor-class is really intriguing.

I'm not sure it's my favorite, but I really like the cardassian galor-class. It, too, resembles a marine animal of some kind, to mine eyes.

the klingon ship seen in Ent..

the one that followed Archer into the Expanse...

what is that called? and can someone post a pic?

In order:

I like the Breen ships, very unconventional design.

The Romulan D'deridex is just an awesome design; mean and green, you just have to love it.

The Klingon Negh'Var.

The Romulan Valdore is great looking.

The Xindi Reptilian Warships and the Xindi Aquatic ships round out my list.

The Vulcan Ring ships do deserve an honorable mention.

I'd probably go with the Surak-class Vulcan ships.

The Klingon D-7 ships are also made of awesome, as is the Breen battleship.
