About the only one I don't like is McCoy's sad little "script" thing going on. That was just bad-bad.
I'd agree the diamond-logo is the definitive version, since it accompanied two Doctors, and was the longest branding logo used. Then we went to neon. Then poor McCoy's. Then back to a Pertwee-font with McGann, and here we are...

Growing up I was also partial to the "neon" logo from was used from Baker to Baker.
Of course, it's horribly dated now, but I still love the nostalgia of it.
At one time I did like the McCoy logo, but now I do not.
I HATE the modern logo in use in the current series, and if I had to pick a logo to represent the show in all forms, I would pick the McGann implementation of the Pertwee logo, or a similar modernization of the Pertwee/Baker diamond.

I like them all for different reasons, although I have to say that McCoy's is a bit corny. My favorite is probably the classic diamond logo.

I was listening to Russell's commentary on Tooth & Claw last night where he said they were toying with the idea of changing the logo after series 2.
Shame they never bothered to, as I find the new series logo to be absolutely the least aesthetically pleasing of the lot.
If I had to go with a favourite, I guess it would probably be the early to mid series Pertwee logo (essentially the same one used for the McGann film and the DVD releases of classic who), though I am also partial to the diamond and neon ones too.

That's my favorite one too.
Um, they did change the logo between Series Two and Series Three. The background is made of brighter colors and the lettering is much darker.
^ Actually, I find that the lettering on the current logo isn't as dark as it was for the Series 1/2 logo. It's fine on the merchandising, but during the opening titles I find that the blacks in the logo aren't as dark as they were in S1/2.
That said, I quite like the new modern version of the logo. It's eye-catching and cool. For the classic series, definitely the diamond logo is the best. McGann's update of the older logo was nice too.
If they do change the logo for the next series, it'll be interesting to see what they come up with. Maybe it will hearken back to the sixties in some way as well, as has the TARDIS itself and Smith's costuming to a certain extent.

No one claimed that it was "stunning" or "game-changing." But an alteration it is, and a noticeable one at that. Only someone who is not paying attention would fail to notice it.

The TVM logo. I loved how they took the basic Pertwee font and made it look like a million dollars.
My heart sank in 2005 when they introduced something inspired by an amber Taxi cab lamp, coupled with the thin Farscape lettering. It has grown on me a bit, but that McGann logo is still my first love. I like the Diamond logo in blues and greens. Its colourful merchandise version less so. My tastes are obviously out of sink with an 8 year old's, which is who the show should really have always belonged to I suppose.

Yeah, it looked really nice against the starfield and then as it tipped over a bit and came at the screen in 3-D-ish fervour.
