Favorite 'Little' Moments Of DS9...

I just love that Odo had a padd with a list of worf's failures lying around waiting for the right opportunity.

Right? That makes me smile every time.

This is one of my faves Garak vs Worf at the end of Broken Link:

"You fight well... for a taylor!"

The reactions of Worf:

In Accession Julian drags Miles into Quark's and they toast a drink to the fact that Keiko was pregnant again. Moments later, Worf walks in, and Quark tells him "Did you hear, Keiko's gonna have another baby!"

Worf: "NOW" He said it like he'd just been told that Tribbles had invated Q'onos. After finding out that it's not for another 7 months, Miles mentioned the TNG episode Disaster when Worf helped Keiko. "Unfortunately, I'll be away from the station... far away, visiting my parents. Excuse me" He the nervously leaves like a scalded Targ.

The second happens in "Looking for Par'Mach in all the Wrong Places"

Worf is sitting with Jadzia at the replimat. He sees Grilka, and thinks she's glorious. He follows her as she enters Quark's. When Quark and Grilka hug, in what is obviously a passionate embrace. Worf's arousal turns to a deep frown, "She knows the Ferengi" then Jadzia tells him that she's not just his friend, but his ex-wife.... Worf's face almost hits the deck.

"She is glorious." Worf, after seeing Grilka for the first time

I watched Looking for Par'Mach in all the Wrong Places just last night - a very entertaining episode! So many excellent Worf quotations. I might have been skipping this one on rewatches, confusing it with the much maligned Profit and Lace.

Later... when Worf isn't listening to Quark or Dax and he starts fantasizing about delivering a leg of some animal to Grilka to impress her and delivering a speech about providing food for her and her house... all the while Quark is taking notes and Dax is getting turned on by Worf's overtures... highly entertaining!

Off the top of my head:

Weyoun trying to appreciate art.

He's one of Trek's most interesting characters, and it's little moments like this that lend him such depth.

This random dance between Nog and Dax:

That was such a great fun episode, and I feel like this single frame sums up so much of what makes Jadzia work as a character after they changed her personality a bit.

Jadzia literally jumping into Worf's arms:

Again, I love how Jadzia bought so much life and energy to the show. I never exactly loved her relationship with Worf, but it's moments like this that make it feel real. I don't remember seeing that kind of genuine affection much between other characters.

Finally, Quark's look during this speech (at 33 seconds)

You get so much about Quark from his expression. He's clearly emotionally involved in the Federations departure, but you can also tell he's trying to take into account how these recent developments will affect him and his business.

Love that speech in general because every named character is reacting differently to the news; it's only accomplished via facial expression, but it's a perfect example of how well DS9 crafted their characters. Still, Quark's is my favorite reaction.

The last words of Weyoun.

Weyoun - where is my old friend Damar?
Kira - He didn't make it
Garak - He died trying to free Cardassia
Weyoun - What's left of it

It's such a perfectly smug statement delivered by Jeffrey Combs with the arrogance you had grown to love Weyoun as a villian for!
