I think "4" attempted to do a story where the Fantastic Four lost all of their corporate funding and they lost the Baxter Building. I think this was integrated into the main book for a while but Mark Millar re-established.

I don't see that he's any more or less relatable now than he was when created. Though it's certainly the case that he's not remotely as distinct as he used to be since tormented characters have become much more common.

Reed. Civil War era controversies/misdemeanours aside, he's someone to look up to and, to be frank, the only one likely to insert phrases like "a tesseracted volume analogue created by a controlled spatial application of the Radical Cube" into a sentence by way of explanation.

Seems to me from the results of the poll that Ben is still the most popular member of the group. He's not taking it in a landslide but he does have almost have the percentage of votes.

I'm not surprised that the Ever-Lovin' Blue Eyes is winning. But it's also good that everyone else is making a strong showing.

It makes the team worthy of the name Fantastic Four, and doesn't suggest the Fantastic One (plus Three).

It's Sue for me, although I think the fill-in members should have been given a chance in the running too! Although Sue started out as being very lame and a bit of a helpless and hopeless girl, by the time she was turned into Malice the writers had realised just how awesomely versatile she can be.

given that i've barely read 616 Fantastic 4, i qualify my vote for Human Torch with movie/Ultimate Johnny.

i love all 4 of the Ultimate 4, but Johnny is my fave. he's even better in Ultimate Spider-Man with Bobby Drake and Peter to bounce off.

If you liked Ultimate Fantastic Four then I would recommend getting into Hickman's Fantastic Four run. I know I keep plugging it, but it is well worth checking out. It kind of deals the meta type ideas that UFF dealt with under Warren Ellis, until Ultimatium came and ruin everything.
