What is your favorite story where you as a trekking got to show how big of a fab you are?
I will start. I was in college at the time. Enterprise had finished its run on air. I moved to a small town several years before this. I learned this small town had been home to a star trek actor. He graduated high school here. His parents are teachers here. Well at this time I was on a planning committee for one of our local cultural events. The leader of our group introduces these 2 new members and mentions their names. I heard it and it auto clicked and I knew they were the parents of said actor. At the next meeting we moved meeting locations and I was the usher to point people to the correct place. I see these 2 come up and I ask if they knew said actor and they confirmed yes he is our son. We get up to meeting room and we still have a few minutes so we talk about said actor and this whole time the leader of our group who has known these 2 for years had no idea they had a famous son. Leave it to the trekkie to point it out lol.

Mine is much simpler. The first convention I ever attended was in 76 in Washington DC. On the last day I had my mother and my 9ish year old niece with me. At one point the niece had to go to the bathroom, and she came out, followed closely by Nichelle Nichols, yelling "I went to the bathroom with Lt Uhura!"

Casey Biggs semi-hugged me when I told him how great Damar's arc was. I also made John de Lancie laugh, and Brian Brophy waltz.

I've got a couple that really jump at me.

When I first met Avery Brooks, I told him that not only is he my favorite captain, but one of the reasons he is was because of his portrayal of such a great dad. He gave me the most amazing smile I've ever seen anyone give. I'll always keep that memory in my head.

Another was when I met Robert Picardo. Really nice guy. We chatted for a couple minutes, and then I asked if he could sing the 'Pon Farr' opera with me from "TINKER TENOR DOCTOR SPY". AND HE DID!!! I got to sing with The Doctor!



(Speaking of The Doctor, but from another franchise... Sylvester McCoy was at a panel I was in, and he wanted to illustrate his spoon skills by spooning the DOCTOR WHO theme. I happen to have had that as my ringtone, and because of that... I WAS SPOONED BY THE DOCTOR! He was spooning the theme on my arms and shoulders. It was awesome!)
