No thread for this yet, but the question demands to be asked now that season 1 is over: what were your favorite episodes?

I set the poll to three choices rather than just one because I anticipate that one specific episode may otherwise just clobber the rest for... reasons. I'll post my choices in a follow-up - but I'd love to hear what yours are and why?

I want to pick all of them! It’s too hard to pick three. I need to think really hard about this. They are all so different in tone, maybe I’ll pick the three most tonely(sp?) different episodes? :D

For me it's the Gorn arc. I really enjoyed the lighter tone of some of the other episodes as well, but Memento Mori / All Those Who Wander are my killer eps.

And the finale. One of the best episodes of Trek in decades.

I was thinking about which episode to use to introduce my Dad to SNW, he was a fan of TOS when it was broadcast in the 60s, and I've heard him pull out the 'Kirk was not the first Captain' factoid. I think he might enjoy the series. Gotta figure out what the right tone of episode to use as an introduction would be. Maybe the right answer is obviously the premiere! But I shall check back and see if the results of this poll convince me otherwise.

So I ended up choosing the premiere, which was just solid through and through, the finale and "Lift Us..."

The latter felt like a good old TNG episode and had several interesting twists that kept my attention. The finale, as I've said elsewhere, teetered dangerously close on the edge of Into Darkness territory with the remixing of classic stuff, but didn't fully cross over into it. And then it was very exciting and advanced some of the larger character arcs. Good stuff.

I am surprised though that "Spock Amok" is leading right now. That was perhaps my least favorite.

There wasn't any episode I disliked, it was a good season. But the only great episode was the season finale so I voted for that.

I liked every episode. A lot. It was hard to choose, but I went with SNW, Memento Mori and Qualilty of Mercy.

As I said, I haven't disliked any episode, but perhaps there should also be a least favorite poll? With the stress on Least Favorite, not poor, or disliked! Spock Amok and Elysian Kingdom would be my choices there.

I know earlier I mentioned I was boycotting the pole because there weren't enough choices available, but in the end, I made three choices:

Memento Mori

Spock Amok

and of course:

A Quality of Mercy
^^^
And this one really stands out to me as the series best episode to date.
