Favorite episodes poll, seasons 1 -4

Hello Voyager fans.

If you’ve been visiting other Trek show forums, you’ve noticed there is a lot of polling going on with favorite episodes. The goal is to take the favorite episodes from each series and have a run off poll in GTD that will include all five TV series. At first, the plan was to take 20 episodes from each series into that GTD poll, but there were concerns voiced that made me decide it might be best to go into the GTD poll with the 10 best from each series instead.

So, what we will do here is select 10 episodes from each season, and then a few more polls to take those results down to the 10 over all favorite Voyager TV episodes to go into the GTD poll.

This poll includes seasons one through four. Season one is a short season, and I debated whether or not to shorten the season one poll question to less selections, but since I’m not that familiar with Voyager fans likes and dislikes of their episodes, I didn’t want to cause any problems. So you can still select 10 from season one if you like.

These polls will usually run for about a week or so, and then I close them and take the winners into the next round of voting. Have fun.

I would have went with 7 episodes to be picked for the first season myself, but no big deal. I voted. :thumbsup:

I only picked two or three episodes from each season.

I'd tell you all which ones they were, but I can't for the life of me remember - I didn't write them down as I voted.

The first couple seasons really are lacking in the "high quality" department. I remember when I individually reviewed each season, ep by ep last year on a five star system, Season 1 - 3 were generally filled with 2-3 star episodes.

I didn't pick ten for any season. Hell, I can't think of any VOY season where I loved as many as ten episodes. I just went with as many as I could think of that I did love.

Which reminds me: can I cast about five million votes for "Living Witness"?

That was pretty easy. Eight eps from the first season, and no problems choosing 10 from the others (with the exception of season 3).

It'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

Season 4 was the most difficult of all 'cause of all the good stories. But I've noticed that "The Killing Game" appeared as 1 ep, when it's actually a two-parter, compared to "Year Of Hell", witch appears twice as Part I & Part II.

Was this part of a arc like they did in the 4th season of ENT? In ENT they had two and three part arcs, but each episode was listed as a single episode, not a Pt. 1 or Pt. 2.

No kidding - that was, I think, my favourite Trek episode (not just my favourite VOY episode).

"The Killing Game" is a two-part episode that aired on the same night originally. There are only four two-hour episodes of VOY: "Caretaker," "Endgame," "Dark Frontier," and "Flesh and Blood."

I apologize for that error. If The Killing Game makes it to the next round, I'll list it as two parts. And what would have been the 40th episode, will still make it in the next poll, yall will just have 41 episodes to pick 20 from instead of 40.

I appearantly liked season 2 more than I realised. Even not recognising a couple of episode titles, and skippin over them to come back, I had 13. I decided not to come back, so that I only had three to eliminate.
