Favorite Enterprise Bridge?

The Big D. The original and best. Especially the carpet.

I'm quite fond of the Voyager bridge. When I originally watched the show I felt it was too dark and dismal, but now I prefer the dark grays to the bland beige of the Enterprise D.

TOS.

The movie bridge (TWOK configuration).

The all-white Enterprise-A bridge at the end of STIV.

And the Ent-A bridge as seen in STVI (a MASSIVE improvement over the underwhelming STV bridge).

The SNW bridge is all right, but it's a bit too busy for me with tons of lights fighting for attention. I can't imagine the crew being comfortable in that space for very long. But maybe it'll grow on me.

TWOK, TFF, TNG GEN for me.

Regarding the TWOK bridge, I also wish we saw more of the additional TMP sets like the Officers Lounge, Rec Deck and the Shuttle/Cargo Bay. Seemed like after TMP, the Enterprise got a lot smaller because of the lack of shot locations. Woulda been nice if they had created a set for the arboretum on the refit as well.;.

Call me crazy but Id like to see a series based on the 2270s refit. Wish it would come back, even if it was a different ship/crew. The TMP/TWOK aesthetic arms my heart...

  1. The Final Frontier 17O1-A Bridge
  2. The Undiscovered Country 17O1-A Bridge
  3. Discovery 1701 Bridge
  4. Strange New Worlds 1701 Bridge

If we're confining ourselves to Enterprises specifically rather than starships in general then there's a lot that has to be said for the Strange New Worlds bridge of the 1701. Very respectful of the TOS original design and totally captures all the key layout elements of that iconic bridge, but beautifully updated for a modern audience.

Special shout-out has to go to the Enterprise-D bridge too. It is the only starship bridge in Star Trek to not be overtly based on the TOS original and to have gone back to first principles to try and design something new.
And it remains the only starship bridge ever to make me cry, carpet and all.

I like the SNW bridge very much, but I prefer the DSC version. I wish they had used it instead.

I wonder if the DSC version of that bridge is still canon? Or did it always look like it does in SNW?
The ship was in dry dock for repairs at the start of SNW Season 1, maybe it got swapped out then.

The Enterprise-A from Star Trek VI. The big digital clock.
A great, logical choice in-universe. I'm sure it must've been a nightmare to keep straight in continuity, though. Nowadays it'd be much easier to revise shots with CGI if the displayed time was wrong.

Agreed! I'm sure the rec deck set was struck because its size, but it would've been nice if they could've brought back the officers' lounge or shown us a TMP/TWOK era briefing room in subsequent movies.
Kelvin.

No contest.
Not an Enterprise bridge.

For all it’s not the greatest movie, I think TFF’s E-A bridge was just the pinnacle of the design. It was perfect.

Not a huge fan of the SNW bridge; it’s too busy and too black for me, I’m not sure why it’s so black.

Though I hated the movie, I thought the TFF bridge was a good transition towards what would later become the TNG aesthetic... Though i would have preferred to see the TVH bridge seeing as how we only got a 1 minute glimpse of it...

I think the reason it like the TUC bridge the least is because it seemed to go kinda retro with push buttons and sliders when we just had touch screens in the previous flick. Plus the turbolift doors being moved to the sides of the bridge no longer jives with what the starship mode looks like form the outside...

As a generic bridge, I liked it a lot but I wish it wasnt the enterprise bridge only because canon continuity was really starting to go off the rails. I was getting put off with the ship interior being totally different at every flick....

TOS - by far.
TAS - excellent adaptation of TOS, adding several logical new features such as the second turbolift and a bridge defense system.
TWOK.
TUC.
