Favorite Doctor costume?

I'm torn between the Baker and Tennant...I think I'll go with Tennant's, but only by a few points. I loved Tennant's habit of whipping out glasses every now and then. Was that the first time the Doctor used glasses regularly?

Tennants. Plus its a great advert for converse trainers, i've bought 3 pairs alone.

I agree, they are completely and utterly horrible, both in quality of manufacture and quality of wear.

I still regularly use one pair. It did destroy nearly all my socks, though; the insides were completely ruined within a few weeks. I need to by new socks (and expensive, high quality ones at that) every other week. However, I haven't found a shoe that I like the looks of as much as this pair of converse. If only I would not refuse to wear skater shoes, running shoes and/or classical shoes, then I'd have a much easier choice.

"Out they come, the brainy specs! You don’t even need them -- you just think they make you look clever."
The fifth Doctor wore glasses on a couple of occasions. The first Doctor did too, IIRC.

...I have the strangest feeling that DAK is a fan of the 9th Doctor....weird...

Ya think? ;)

Yep, that man is soooo hot, the costuming department took one look at him and said, "There's no way we can dress a man that hot in a dorky Doctor outfit. Find him a leather jacket pronto!" And so hordes of drooling fangirls were born.

Just think how many more fangirls will be born when they unveil the real new outfit:

^ Nice umbrella! I have one exactly like it - my son calls it my gay pride umbrella.

I don't think too many fangirls would be coming into being over that eyeball searing fashion disaster!

I'd say Tennant's brown look... though considering it's a colour change away from my 'work' look I'm probably a bit biased on that.

I quite liked Bakers early blazerish look more than his long coat - Eccelstones is just something I'd wear more than a costume.

Don't even joke about Smith trying on that nightmare. My fave line from McCoy's debut in Time And The Rani: "Thank heaven that with this regeneration I've regained my sense of haute couture!" First time I saw that episode, I practically shouted at the screen: "You ain't kiddin', brother!"

For my money: early Tom Baker (especially the burgundy waist-length coat) or Tennent's blue suit with brown overcoat. Though I do have a fondness for Hartnell's Edwardian outfit...
