Favorite "Curb Your Enthusiasm" moments?

Having just found about HBO confirming a season eight, I had to get another thread going on this fantastic show. I know we have some watchers in here. Out of the seven seasons or just from what you've seen, what would you say are some of all-time funniest moments?

It's hard for me to rank them, but I'm pretty sure the moment that made me laugh the hardest was Larry's poor attempt at being a car salesman in the first episode of season two. He got so cocky with the dealership manager at first saying that he'll probably say dozens of cars on the first day he's there, but Larry knows absolutely NOTHING about the vehicles he's attempting to sell.

Man: I noticed that this car model has a GT and a GTS, so what is the difference between the GT and the GTS.
Larry: Ok, the GTS means "Guaranteed Tremendous Safety."
Man: So... without the S it's just... "Guaranteed Tremendous"?

:guffaw: :guffaw:

And of course any scene that features Suzy flipping out at Larry and Jeff is priceless. Such as when they pull up to either Larry or Jeff's house and she's standing right outside, arms crossed, waiting for them; The Doll Head (which, if you look carefully, you can spot a tumbleweed blowing past) and the Dog are good examples.

Let's discuss!

I think my all time favorite moment is when Larry is trying to explain to the doctor how he got a rash from his producer's daughter, and the doctor ends up saying "call the police."

The other is probably Crazy Eyes Killer and "Larry I hear you poppin them mother$%^&ing bubbles."

The "ass man" one where Cheryl opens that traffic ticket at the end and sees that pic of him with that old woman's ass next to his face.

Or when he's in Crazy Eyes Killer's house and he's like, "Oh yeah, you gotta have room for three or four motherfuckers in there."

I've only seen the first three seasons so far, but I'm going to go with pretty much anything from "Beloved Aunt." Just a hilarious concept for an episode.

I got quite a kick out of Larry David on stage in "The Producers" during the season four finale (complete with cameo by Jerry Seinfeld).

But my favorite moment has already been posted--the final minutes of the season three finale where Larry David saves the day in a way only he could. Brilliant.

^ Why?

I mean, I guess I can understand the show not being everybody's cup of tea ... and certainly don't begrudge you your right to express your opinion, but what's with the negativity?

Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand the active hatred of television shows. I don't particularly care for Grey's Anatomy, but you don't see me in the weekly threads bitching and moaning about them.

Likewise, I was having a beer with some like-minded friends last night, discussing this very topic, remembering when the news that Enterprise had been cancelled. As each episode aired, you would think that it would be enough to know that the show was ending, that the people who disliked it would keep their negative remarks to a minimum, and let those of us who liked the show enjoy it. Nevertheless all the critics descended each week like vultures, capping each critique with "and this is why it got cancelled."

I guess I just feel like there are better things to spend my energy on than being a negative nellie about TV shows I don't like. I'll debate, argue, discuss and review the ones I love till I'm blue in the face -- just did that all last week with the LOST finale, actually -- but this whole thing about arguing in circles because someone else simply cannot give an inch and just dismisses anything that might suggest they're not 100% right, man that shit's gotten super old.

END RANT

On topic: I loved the episode of Curb where Larry has the imaginary cell phone conversation in the restaurant just to prove a point.

I've just never found it funny or engaging.

I've tried to watch several episodes, and I just can't see the point or the humor.

But, if you like it, then I say more power to you. I'm not going to try to tell you that you shouldn't like it. I've had people do that same to me, especially with Star Trek. I've had people go on and on about how I shouldn't like Enterprise. I've also had people jump down my thoart for not liking the new movie.

My point is - it's not my cup of tea. If it is yours, then by all means - enjoy it, but that doesn't mean I have to as well.

... anyway.

The classic moment "beloved aunt" holds a very special place in my heart. It marks the first time in my life that I ever spit out a beverage because I suddenly exploded with laughter. I was not expecting a moment like that.

Another moment - any argument between Larry and Richard is amazing.

Larry David has said many times over the years that this is exactly what his relationship with Richard Lewis is like in real life.

The scenes with Lewis are always highlights for me. Apparently they have known each other for fifty years. Bob Einstein can also crack me up without speaking a word.

As for favorite moments, it's so hard to choose, and some have already been mentioned. But one that comes to mind now is Larry's dad and the prostitute getting high in "The Carpool Lane." Also the confrontation after Larry interrupts the baptism/conversion. Hilarious.
