I'm curious as to what your favorite series of Star Trek is - discounting the series you started with. also, please only vote in the poll if you've seen the entirety of TNG, TOS, VOY, ENT, and DS9. it doesn't matter whether or not you've seen any of the other shows, but I listed them for a reason.

And if we're to be completely honest, a lot of people here probably wouldn't be qualified to vote. I skipped most of a season of Enterprise, for example, and missed an odd episode or two of Voyager. I think I've seen enough to make an informed choice, but you don't.

well, given the name of the poll, to vote for anything other than one of the first 5 would be an incorrect answer anyway, for starters.... and I'd like the trolls to have something else to vote for besides what they feel is the worst trek. any wishful thinkers can vote for Discovery instead of trying to convince themselves something they don't truly like is good. a poll's set up is important, answers can be manipulated and I did as much as I could to limit that and isolate informed, serious opinions. although I really should have listed the sillier options first.
A poll should be what it claims to be, but I'll leave it as-is and see what others make of it.
STAR TREK: The Next Generation is the equation that works. It's a Classic, in every sense of the word. Timeless. After that, the rest of the franchise, really, is just BONUS FEATURES. Not to knock it, because I'm glad so much of it is out there. I'm particularly fond of VOY, it's so much like the 2nd side of the same saga as TNG. I'm kind of half-into Sci-Fi, generally, though it's not really my forte. Particularly, if it's Earth-bound, other Sci-Fi is capable of attracting my notice. But even then, it rarely holds my attention. TNG satisfies ... that's it and all about it.
The Next Generation, followed by TAS and Enterprise.

Since the poll question is about favourite Trek series then it has to be DS9 for me.
I voted for Voyager, it's my favorite and it's the fourth series I watched because that's the order the live action ones came in (I saw the animated on DVD last year).
I like Stargate SG1 and the spinoff Atlantis (I didn't vote for them because they are not Star Trek), but I don't care for the final series Universe. You don't have Universe in your list, but it does appear you have the original movie on it, which wasn't a TV series but a feature film.

This poll is a mess. But much as I love Trek my favorite TV show has for a long time been Babylon 5. That's lasted some 6 rewatches, although whether it'll hold up for another rewatch is doubtful.

a certain % of ppl WILL give a BS answer. if someone doesn't want to take it seriously, subvert it, troll it, w/e, now some of those votes can be identified and discounted. if farscape and the like weren't options, then those ppl would more than likely go with whichever trek they find the most silly. of course, a certain % of those ppl can still vote for enterprise w/o actually liking it and we'd never know. I can't completely eliminate trolls etc, but I can minimize their impact. you can see why I didn't want to explain this.
on a side note, I'm not surprised by these results so far. I expected DS9 to be the most loved among the most hardcore trekkies. if anyone gave up on DS9 through the first couple seasons, you're missing out!

oh and if you meant why I wanted to know your fav trek discounting the first one you saw... that's just to eliminate bias. a large % of ppl love their first trek the most it seems. if they didn't love it so much, they wouldn't have continued on to the other series to begin with.... if they love it that much, they're too biased towards it to objectively compare it to the last trek they've seen, for example. ofc there are exceptions but this is the case for most ppl.
I don't believe this q is any more subjective than, "The City On the Edge of Forever" is a better episode than "Spock's Brain." I believe that one is objectively the best, even if I can't seem to find it. yeah we're all biased, but those biases cancel each other out after enough ppl are polled. the consensus is always right. one person can say "Spock's Brain" is better than TCOTEOF, but if you ask 1000 ppl to rate each ep, the better one will be rated higher. this is no different.
