It's not that I don't prefer there to be a George, but people jumped at my throat for suggesting that there wasn't (in the film) so much I started advocating the opposite.

Well, I don't think having George in any way makes Kirk's birth scene less emphatic. But this is off topic...

When the DVD comes out, it will be discovered in a deleted scene that Kirk and McCoy smuggled her aboard the Enterprise and she presently in Kirk's cabin handcuffed to his bed ("Captain's woman" and "Orion slave girl", you know).
