Sure, in a perfectly healthy drone they'd have no need to add cybernetic corrections to the brain, but if a drone is produced from an assimilated individual with structural damage or a neurological malfunction, who knows?

Has there actually ever been any canon information about what happens when the Borg assimilate someone who is less than 100% healthy?

My personal view is that nanoprobes programmed for assimilation would prioritize making a drone a functional part of the collective rather than curing ailments, so when an individual is first assimilated the nanoprobes would replace all sub-optimal biological organs with technological alternatives, even if it's a part of the body that the Borg don't usually bother to replace or enhance. And then after a drone is fully integrated into the Borg, would the nanoprobes' priority switch to repairing damaged biological tissues.

As Jean-Luc Picard was no longer a part of the Borg collective, I would suggest that any nanoprobes dormant in his system, if reactivated, would default to their primary assimilation protocols and replace his damaged parietal lobe instead of repairing the tissue.

But, y'know, that's just my personal take on how I would do the Borg unless there's canon to the contrary.
