Fat, dumpy, a DUFF

I have made 11 of the 18 Felties from A book by Nelly Pailloux. My favourite is the lion. I hope to make the rest this year. I also own two other books, Zombie Felties and Zodiac Felties, both by Nicola Tedman. I also plan to make my own designs.

Miss Chicken, I came across you on the Lammily FB page. :) I'm also on there. My Jennifer Lammily shares some Franklin Mint Jacqueline Kennedy doll outfits and really looks nice in them. I have a Barbie cardboard house that I am furnishing as quarters for HRH Princess Midge Maria. Since Jennifer is her sister and a designer, I'm sure she will also spend time in the house.

You have a very nice collection, Miss Chicken! <3

I realize I am a bit late to this thread, but I like the Lammily doll. I think she's pretty, and if I were a collector, or had a child, I'd buy one. Also, I love seeing your collections, Miss Chicken!

This I cannot comprehend. All Barbie was for me was fashion. My sister and I would spend hours cutting, coloring, and styling their hair, dressing them, and making clothes for them. We spent so long getting them ready to play with, we almost always got bored before the actual playing begun.

I did have one Skipper I wrapped entirely in Ace bandages because she was a burn survivor. I guess I was morbid, yet optimistic as a child.

I also enjoyed dressing Barbie and friends growing up. I had Barbie, Midge, and Skipper with the cardboard dreamhouse in the 1960s. Most of their clothes were homemade but I really enjoyed them. In fact, I wore the clothes out! Now I have a nice collection of dolls and clothing that I enjoy dressing and displaying. I also enjoy Princess Diana dolls and have some with their clothing. I love dolls!

When growing my sisters and I each had one Sindy and one Barbie doll. My mother made most of our dolls' clothes and we used to rush home on 'sewing day' to see what Mum had made.

I remember that my play was mainly dressing and undressing the dolls. I sometimes made my own clothes but they were very second-rate. When my sisters outgrew their dolls they gave them to me so I ended up with six dolls which my mother ended up giving away behind my back and to my great disappointment.

My sister is seeing a psychologist to try and come to terms with our childhood, I think that my new interest in dolls is helping my come to terms with the emotional abuse of my childhood.

I am glad that you have joined the Lammily Facebook page C. Cole-Chakotay. I I have seen your posts there but didn't realise it was you.

Nice. I like the little cat (I think) with the purple shoulder bag.

He is meant to be a bear though I don't think he is all that bear like.

A couple of other versions of him, done by others, here

I suppose he looks kind of like a Teddy Bear, but the mouth is more catlike. Cute, in any case.

My barbies were the subject of horrific scientific inquiry. Science I tell you! I buried a fair number of them in hopes of later excavating foot long skeletons. My brothers and I played "archeology" in the yard which yielded mostly junk and small animal and bird skeletons. My dismay upon digging up only moldy dolls was acute.

I only came to appreciate them for fashion after reaching adulthood and the realization that my own taste in fashion was pretty deficient.

Love your felt creations MissChicken!

^^ Doll skeletons was a fantastic idea. Too bad it didn't work out. :(

On the other hand, if it had, you might have been visited by foot-tall policemen.

I love this idea! And, the doll really does look more like a real teenager. So, I think that's great. The only thing that is a bit off is that the face for some reason doesn't seem to fit the body. Part of that is the awkward transition at the neck. But, it's more than just that. The face itself seems off somehow.

The idea is fantastic and I wish the company good luck!

"Submitted for your approval: Several foot-long corpses buried beneath a tree in a suburban backyard. And in the dark of night there appear flashlights, heralding the arrival of police and forensic specialists, also of diminutive height. They may be freshly arrived investigators from Lilliput. Or they may be from... the Twilight Zone."

I hope Mr. Shatner is available. . .
