nightmare on elm street. friday the 13th. both went to at least 10.
I even enjoyed them up the very still 5. But then it was just complete crap after that.
And of course there are seven Saw films.
I know we'll be going to see it

Very happy to hear this. My friends and I were talking and many of us agree that this will be Diesel's last outing and the studio may be considering handing over the leading man reigns to The Rock for future installments.
No surprise on a 6. When Diesel came back for 5, it was stated here and there (most recently in "Men's Health") that he intended to do three films. The financial success of 5 set the sequel up weeks after its release.
I saw Fast Five with two different theater crowds, and what struck me as interesting was that both crowds reacted the same way to almost all the same exact scenes, something I didn't expect. For instance, the "off the cliff" sequence towards the beginning made both audiences audibly gasp and then laugh as they hit the water. And at the very end after the big climactic chase? Huge cheering. It's rare when a film manages to do that.
