I'm writing this regarding the only person who was mercifully given permission to portray Robau onscreen.

On the TV Guide Network, they ran their "Big Movie Premiere" episode of Star Trek last week (it will probably be rerun a ton this week, too - they always do that), and they had a segment with Faran Tahir, where he takes you to his favorite Indian restaurant (points from me, as I also love that food!)

Anyway, he was just so damn cool! If he weren't so connected to Robau I would say that I feel like he's someone I could just kick back, have some good Indian food and a few drinks with, and just talk about anything!

What a cool guy!

I don't think we get TV Guide Network; we have DirecTV and get the top package, but I don't remember that.

But I like Cap'n Robau a lot!

When I saw the movie and Robau appeared on the screen, the person behind me leaned over and asked someone who that was. I knew I was in trouble because thirty seconds into the movie this person was already lost.

But yeah, Robau was cool. I want to know what he was like in the Prime universe, where I assume he lived a longer life.

Is there any way we can skip back to the Prime Universe where we can see more of him ? Hey I have an idea...let's just skip back and forth between the two universerse at will...why does it all have to be gotta go thru a black hole and shit?

Has this guy been in any other movies etc...

Faran is one of those actors who has appeared in just about every one hour drama at one point or another, from Law and Order to NYPD Blue to 24. He's probably best know as a villain in Iron Man. He also appeared on Lost a few seasons ago where he was shot the fuck up by Sayid. It wasn't pretty.

Ah the ever important character actor! Well I don't watch any of those drama shows on the networks so it makes sense I've never seen him before...it's a pity really...they could of introduced him as a new member of the cast and by the way it looks around here we all would of willingly accepted him into the fold.

And the best thing about Faran is that he's so approachable and down-to-earth. He owns and runs an Indian/Pakistani restaurant and sees average people all the time. And his interview on TV GUIDE channel made me feel even more wonderful about his personality and acting chops.

Dude. Faran Tahir. I watched an interview with him in Urdu with my fiancee. He's awesome. He talked about having to ham it up as a radical Muslim villain in movies like Iron Man.

I hope there's a way to bring him into more Star Trek. I'm beginning to think he's going to have a fan movement to equal that of Boba Fett.
