Fantastic Four reboot-- Casting, Rumors, Pix, ect;

Ok, I may not know alot about the FF but I know enough to react to that synopsis in this manner.

Glad to here it's not true.

Glad that synopsis was released (fake or otherwise), as it should remind people of what makes the FF the FF (ie. not the color of Johnny's skin).

I don't have a problem with the ethnicity of any of the characters being changed. My problem is with a young Reed and Ben.

So, not true, but I can easily see someone making this type of conclusion after hearing a brief synopsis of the Ultimate FF.

Remember, Mark Millar is the advisor for Fox on their Marvel films, and he launched the Ultimate FF with Bendis. And I can see Millar being egomaniacal enough to tell Marvel that his version is the best, and therefore they all should be teenagers.

I actually enjoyed the Ultimate version although I haven't read it in a few years.

"sigh", somewhere Jack Kirby must be spinning in his grave. According to AICN, this guy Josh Grad is the top pick for Ben Grimm. This guy looks nothing like the tough guy from the mean streets of NY that became the Thing. I know for sure that I will be skipping this film next year!

Josh Grad recently voiced Olaf the Snowman in Disney's Frozen.

Why? Leaving aside, the merits or otherwise of this particular idea, From what we know of Kirby he would have *liked* the idea of trying something entirely new as that was his thing. When people say "what would Kirby do?" the answer is never "same old shit".

You remember how the extreme internet reaction to the leaked Terminator 4 ending made the filmmakers panic and change it? Maybe if there is enough negative feedback on this attempt Fox will start to worry and push it back again and then accidentally run out of time and lose the rights? One can dream, right? :)

In other news, it has been officially announced that Gabourey Sidibe will be playing Sue Storm.

I'm starting to think someone is just trolling fandom now with these casting short lists.
