Um, is New Moon even going to make it out?
I read something about it not having a Director.

Flake's remark may not have been the best thing he could have chosen to say, but Matt, you have already received one advisory this morning in another thread to cool it. You aren't cooling it, and you're making it personal in a way that his comment was not. No more advisories -- you have a warning for trolling.I don't think Star Trek has ever really appealed to teenage girls, past or present...

It isn't Matt's opinion which earned him a warning, and you are welcome to state yours on the topic of discussion at any time. I'm not planning on issuing Flake a warning and any further discussion of that issue should be taken to PM, as per board policy, and not conducted in the thread.Flake's remark may not have been the best thing he could have chosen to say, but Matt, you have already received one advisory this morning in another thread to cool it. And yet does Flake get at least a warning?? I know MattJC's record around this forum does is not reflect smart thinking, (but some actually agree with his opinion, such as myself) and just warning him about this topic enflames me and makes me wonder about this board.
:P My bad. Forgot "it than". This is what I get for focusing on "Iron Chef" instead of what I'm typing.men are more interested in women
This is profound wisdom.
I knew and know a great many teenage girls who were and are into Star Trek.
Some of them are quite attractive.
They have better things to do: texting friends, buying shoes, and talking about how sexy Trip is.I knew and know a great many teenage girls who were and are into Star Trek.

They're simply not the ones filling out the polls. Polls/reviews etc... mean little.
Uggh. Star Trek isn't about being highly anticipated. It was always about the ideas of humanity working together and appeasing Gene Roddenberry's bold and bright vision of the future. Once it becomes cool, becomes appealing to bigger audiences, or looks like it might be good or epic.... then it is no longer Star Trek.
J.J. Abrahamans just doesn't get it.
