I'll believe Fanboys has come out when I own the DVD. (I'm not expecting massive distribution on this.)
Which reminds me. Does anyone know if 5-25-77 has come out? I saw the trailer for that a few years, and it looked, well, interesting in a Napoleon Dynamite meets That '70s Show sort of way.
One thing that bugs me from an earlier trailer is the way Trek fans are portrayed as being hopelessly nerdy with no connection to reality, yet the protagonist Star Wars fans are seen to be, while nerdy, hip, cool, and can shack up with hot chicks. The thing I liked about Free Enterprise was that it didn't trash other sci-fi shows/movies to highlight the "awesomeness" of Star Trek. Then again, the movie has Shat in it, so what do I know?

My thoughts exactly. Why is it cooler to be a star wars nerd than a star trek nerd? I've met my fair share of nerds coming from both camps and it seems to be pretty even when it comes to nerdiness. The lead Star Wars nerd reminds me of Booger from Revenge of the Nerds Series.
My opinion turned on the movie after I listened to an interview with the director on a podcast. I thought it was going to be an utter piece of crap teen movie, but it's clear that nerds made the film - and like another small nerd film, Free Enterprise, they managed to get William Shatner to do a cameo.
