Fan-made Thundercats trailer

I've been sending this video to my friends, and we are in agreement that this trailer satisfies any need for a big screen adaptation. Anything else will just be a nightmare.

That was pretty damn cool.

Vin Diesel IS Panthro. And the other choices were clever too.

The CGI cat character was annoying. Reminded me of Blaaaarp (or whatever) from the Lost in Space movie. Otherwise, decent work.

Have you ever seen Thundercats?

Vague memories of it, very vague.

Which means I got my money's worth from that hypnotist.

Still, I suspect that if that trailer was for a "real movie" said real movie would suck from an animated cutey cat character and would've benifited from it not being there.

I love fans with too much time on their hands, such cool stuff! I wonder over the years how much cracking DVD encryption has contributed to fun fan projects.

Never watched the original cartoon, but it definately had an annoying talking animal sidekick.

Looed to me like the dude just digitized over some footage of one of the craptastic Garfield movies.

Same here.

But, as I said, I would suspect in a "real" Thundercats movie the annoying animal sidekick could be removed without much loss. It just seems odd you've got all of these serious-looking scenes and then this odd CGI animal sidekick.

It's be like if they ever made a Ghostbusters 3 just adding Slimer in (a'la the cartoon). I mean here's the Ghostbusters getting all serious with their big threat and Slimer floats in and says something nonsensical to make the kiddies giggle. It's odd.

I used to love Tundercats - even if I was in my 20s when it was out. :alienblush: Who knew Jackman would look so good in stripy face?

Thundercats without Snarf would be no Thundercats at ALL. You need an annoying sidekick in every good movie!

That was pretty friggen awesome! Are these the same guys who did the Zelda one last year? The style and attention to detail seems very similar. In any case, I think a TC movie could be just as good as a Transformers. Plus, I'm a bigger cats fan!

By the by, was that Praxis go boom there at the beginning?
