Families of humanoid species?

Thei
Is there a compendium of alien races of Trek in paper or hardback? Some of us still like to turn pages in a book.

There is the old Star Trek Encyclopedia. I don't know that it has had an update since Voyager however. The last data on mine is 1997, so seriously out of date.

Now mind you that this is the first time in literal years I have pulled it off the shelf.

Someone should put together a 2021 updated version of all humanoid, and other creatures seen in all Trek shows and books or comics.

I think the book would definitely sell like hot pancakes in Winter.

Except they don't, which is why updated versions are not on the shelf now.

I'm certain the book would sell. I'd buy one to have as a reference to read while watching the show.

In my opinion, people watch too much T.V. nowadays and don't wonder about what they are watching.

Yea that is a general case. If you want an updated version pester TPTB. No squeak, no grease.

As much as I enjoy my Worlds of the Federation book, I can understand why they'd leave that stuff to online resources like Memories Alpha and Beta. Any published book would need constant new editions to be kept up to date, especially with so many shows currently planned (plus the comics, novels and games...).
