Fallout: The Television Series

So it's set in 2296, the furthest in the timeline than any other Fallout story.

Todd also says it's canon to the games.. hm.

Hmm. I am intrigued. I played 1, 2, 3, and New Vegas. Love the mythology of the FO world, and there are really endless stories you can tell there.

They're focusing heavily on the FO4/FO76 art style, probably because they're the newest games.

Also I forgot how far into the 2200s FO4 took place, this series takes place 9 years after the start of that game.

Looks cool, and sounds interesting. I've never played the games, so I really can't judge it as an adaptation. It was Lisa Joy and Johnathan Nolan's involvement that got me interested.

I’m cautiously optimistic based on the trailer. But it’s easy to make a banging trailer and still have a sloppy show. But it looks like they’re going to try leaning into that dark humor that Fallout is known for.

Some of the CGI is a little dodgy, like the Power Armor Troopers and the hand being eaten.

I love "AND THE STUDIO BEHIND THE BOYS AND FREE 2-DAY SHIPPING*"

"AND THE ACCLAIMED VIDEO GAME CREATOR TODD HOWARD"

Why didn't anyone tell me that the dude from Teen Wolf Too makes video games now? Very cool. ;)

The trailer was pretty cool, so I'm very interested in this now.

It’s IMDb so it’s a high chance of being wrong but
There’s an actor credited as playing Robert House in a single episode

Not a gamer, so no idea about it, but it looks like fun. I'll have to watch it myself during lunch, 'cause my wife says she's tired of post-apocalypse stories.

It has a very different approach to post-apocalypse, since there is a divergence point between the Fallout History and American history. There is a larger emphasis on 50s style Americana culture, and a retro-future view, with different technology style.
