Falling down hole or tunnel forever

Hi-

I am hoping someone out there will be able to find out the name of a particular original Star Trek episode.....:)

All I can remember is a final scene where Spock (and maybe JTK) have a tussle with a "bad" man, and the man falls into some kind of tunnel or spinning hole. There is a view of the man falling and spiraling down the hole. The dialog went something like this:

Spock- What will happen to him?
Captain- He will keep falling forever.... and ever....

Does anyone remember or know of this scene and the episode to which it belongs?

Much thanks in advance for your assistance :techman:!

Closest I can come up with is What are Little Girls Made Of?.

Yeah, I'd have said The Alternative Factor.

There is also a man falling and spiraling down in The Cloud Minders.

Maybe someone is remembering a bit from both?

WOW, you folks totally rock! :)

It was the Alternative Factor. I was way off on the dialogue, so, kudos to you for being able to figure it out....

The "bad" guy, Lazarus, doesn't exactly fall, Kirk pushes him into a small spaceship which turns into the guy falling through this worm-hole type of place. The dialogue I was mis-remembering was this:

Spock- There is of course, no escape for them, Sir.
Kirk- There is of course, no escape... How would it be.... trapped forever with a raging madman at your throat... until time itself came to a stop... for eternity... how would it be?

Good stuff ;).

Thank you so much! :techman:

Oh Lazarus falls. Off those damned rocks. Repeatedly. "He just keeps falling...forever. And ever." :)

That was a memorable story. Made no sense of course once you thought about it, but the images, the characters and the dramatic struggle were all memorable. I recently saw it again after over twenty years and was amazed how much of it was in the back of my mind.
