Fair warning....I switched meds

He's switching me straight. I took a Paxil Monday night and Cymbalta Tuesday (last) night. I'm taking a second one tonight.
No uncontrollable urge to run down the road naked yet?

My doctor switched me from Paxil to Cymbalta yesterday. He said that after taking 3 different SSRIs that he'd try something different.

I have an appt with a therapist on Monday to talk through the ungodly amount of stress they put me through, my ensuring depression, my desire to go to another line of work, stress over possibly losing a steady paycheck, etc.

But you guys don't need to worry about all that. You just have to look for a naked bunny running down the street, which will look something like this:

I figure I should give fair warning since I got yelled at when he upped my Paxil a few months ago and I went on a muy happy posting rage.

Plus, I'm tired of Jayson getting all the attention. :D

Ungodly stress who put you through? And is it me or are a lot of people on these medications these days?

There is alot of "ungodly stress" out there. I've spent the last two months quoting jobs that we'll never get because we're not as cheap as the china-man... so yeah. The Stress is out there. :(

well for one thing they have found out cymbalta and lyricia both have more far ranging uses then when they first came out on the market.

including not just for fibro, depression ect but for diabetics who are dealing with nerve pain and others who deal with chronic nerve pain.

though cymbalta seems to have less side effects then lyricia.

You'd have to put a more specific timeframe on that before I could comment on that. Also if you're going by anecdotal evidence rather than scientific studies, I'd suggest that perhaps people also talk about these things more openly now as opposed to say, a decade ago.

Very true - there was a stigma on even admitting you had emotional problems right up until just a few years ago, so no-one would mention depression or taking medication for it.

actually i am considering taking it or lyrica for periphal nerve disease.

You copy cat..

meow

Woot! Cat fight!

On that note...*hog ties Crusher* We don't need you to be messing up the elections here in Austin.

God only knows what type of damage you're going to do and for all we know, Governor Good Hair will be elected strictly because of your streaking.

As much as I'd love to turn on the news and go, OH MY GOD! I know that woman and then proceed to put face into my palm...I can't risk any chance Perry will be elected again.

Yeah I'm uh not taking medications because of that stigma >.> I am looking though.

And you're a woman. Damn it!

I think it definitely depends on the company one keeps. Also some of us have been admitting to it for years whether it's socially acceptable or not!

Hope it all goes well. Been there with the work front.

Made me think of when lots of admirals had similar avatars to that.

Stay tuned.

Just found out today that someone who's been working on this trainwreck that this place is running of handing out Stimulus finds had a heart attack from all the stress last night.

So I guess I'm not the only one who's cracking from the pressure.

Jeee-zus!

If that's not a sign that you need to get out of that office, I don't know what is! I hope you can sort out everything.

Hmmm, how about brownies? Special brownies? UGHH! Crusher when it all goes wrong, just find something to punch. Namely not my face. Seriously, what do you need other than meds?

I hope they're okay. :(

Take your medicine, run around naked, don't have a heart attack.
