Facebook Ethics

Don't accept or ignore them, just pretend you don't use facebook.

 That's pretty good. "Face-what?" Just be completely incredulous about it. "That doesn't sound like something I would use."

"But I saw your profile listing!"
"Are you sure it just wasn't another person with my name?"
"The profile picture is of you!"
"Are you sur--"
"Yes. It was a picture you and I took together."
"Uh...look! A bird!" ::runs away::

Fact: I de-friended someone a few months ago. She found out and tried to re-friend me. I denied her.

The other day I saw her at a bar, and once she saw me, she started crying and stormed out.

People take Facebook way too seriously.

:guffaw:

"Girl jumps off bar roof, more at 11"

:guffaw:

Might be helpful for some to have an "official" FB page for family and co workers, and one using an alias. I know some who do that... it works out best for everyone.

I've thought about that; however, at this point, I don't have any interest in friending my co-workers. So one private account works just fine for me.

Nah, it goes like this:

"...It was a picture you and I took together!"

"What the hell man?! You're photoshopping my pic into some sick fantasy? That's just sick man, just sick and twisted!"

"God damned identity thieves!"

Hey, are you the Torg with the freakishly large eyeballs?

To be honest I don't follow the question. That said if you have things that you would be ashamed of if particular people saw them, delete that stuff and just stop doing shameful things.

This is odd. In the last couple of days, three people (former acquaintances of mine) have sent me invites to be my friends. I, out of courtesy, accept them as friends, since they're not total strangers. One is a second cousin of mine who lives in NY. One is childhood friend who lives abroad. The other is actually my brother's old friend whom I also knew back in the old country.

Well, I suppose I can live with that, just as long as they're not co-workers.
