F-word used in Trek XI

If nothing else, the more swearing that is welcome in Trek, the less cool it looks from my perspective. There have been instances, yes. But I always liked my Trek clean. Not for offensive sake, but just for being different.

Double dumbass on you, then. :)

..... Damn TNG crew had a sweet deal with those holodecks.

Except for the crewmen who had to come in and mop up the floors in the Holodeck, afterall, somethings arn't holograms in there ;)

I was always a fan of the theory that the computer monitored the shenanigans and beamed all the...nasty stuff outside the ship automatically
- Sir! An 'S' calss nebula just appeared on our starboard side
- It's cmdr Riker that just finnished his holodeck priviledges.
- Ehw!

Well if that was the case and the computer beamed stuff out of the holodeck afterwards, one would assume it'd collect those "Substances" like it does with the normal waste of the ship and recycle it.

Either that or somewhere around Engineering theres one big Sperm Bank.

McCoy does say "fuck" under his breath before he drags Kirk into his lab, having found out Kirk was grounded.

As far as swearing in Trek, it has never been an issue for me and usually appropriate in its context.

I wish people would lighten up a little. It seems pretty ridiculous that people would get bent out of shape seeing Uhura in her bra and Kirk getting jiggy with a green cadet.

^To be honest, I had never tried hot tea of any kind until TNG aired. Now I have 5 to 10 flavors on my shelf at any given time. I am partial to herbal teas in cooler weather; my favorites are Earl Grey (maybe not for awhile:alienblush:), Rooibos (Moroccan Pomegranate Red) and black tea with citrus.

I was never a tea drinker too.
But thanks to the good Captain, I drink a cup of hot Earl Grey every now and then. :)

Nope. It was Harry Kim's job. Always. Later they even made an EJMH based on Harry to serve the function on ALL Starfleet ships.

I shouldn't really comment on this as it is common knowledge that i pretty much have a sewer for a mouth (no comments from the peanut gallery please, LOL)....but i would prefer it if there were no curses in Trek....just for the younger one's sakes.

With an exception for McCoy. And maybe Scotty, at least when he's vexed by something not working properly.

"Lets get the hell out of here." *

*Pretty racey for 60s TV

I know damn was said a lot in TOS, McCoy may have even said Bitch once or twice but I'm not going to swear on that. But there's been a few swear words throughout the movies usually one or two a movie. I think First Contact had the F word in it, but I could be wrong.

I'm like 99.9% sure that the word bitch was never spoken in TOS unless someone had to bring their dog into sickbay...

I thought McCoy said something like sonofabitch once or twice, but I also said I wouldn't swear on it though. I haven't watched the TOS eps in a couple months.

Wasn't there some swearing in ST:IV the Voyage Home? It's been a while since I watched it, was about to watch it this past weekend, but watched ST:III instead...... didn't the punk on the bus give the finger?
And then there was the song playing on his ghetto blaster:
"I HATE YOU"
Lyrics by Kirk R. Thatcher
Music by Mark Mangini
(to be sung Allegro con Temptible)

Just what is the future?
The things we've done and said.
Let's just push the button.
We'd be better off dead!

And I hate you!
and I berate you !
and I can't wait to get to you...

The sins of all the fathers,
being dumped on us – the sons
The only choice we're given is:
How many megatons?

So I eschew you!
And I say "SCREW YOU"!
And I hope you're blue too!

We're all bloody worthless,
Just greedy human scum,
The numbers all add up
to a negative sum...

And I hate you!
And I hate you!
And I hate you...too!

(Repeat in angry scream 'til hoarse – or blood sprays from throat. Whichever comes first...)
Except for the crewmen who had to come in and mop up the floors in the Holodeck, afterall, somethings arn't holograms in there ;)

EJMH

Now, make that a conversation between Dante and Randal.
