[Nowhere Man]

A couple of weeks ago CheapJack had a nonsense thread I like to call the Sienfield thread(a thread about nothing). The thread went nowhere fast, but it inspired me somehow, I don't know how, but it did. Anyway, I came up with a fictional super team of Star Trek fans who work for Congress or at the White House to solve global issues. Since most of us here are relatively intelligent people who each have thier own expertise or talents, I figured we would make a good team to work on such projects. The name I came up with is F.A.T N.E.R.D.S., which stands for: Fan Alpha Team for Never Ending Research and Developement Sector.

I came up with seperate departments, each department is broken down in Star Trek terms. For diplomacy situations the Captains are used. When Cowboy diplomacy is needed, the Kirk team is used. When more sensitive situations arise, the Picard team is used. When there is a more weird situation, the Janeway team. For new situations, Archer team. For agressive negotiations, the Sisko team.

For Science problems: team Spock, Data ..ect.

Medical: Mcoy, Crusher...ect

Security: Worf, Malcom...ect.

So, hopefully you get the drift. So what team would you be on? What solution would you come up with?

Here are some of the problems: Global Warming, Science Department.

The Middle East, Captains Department.

Cancer, Aids and other diseases, Medical

North Korea, Iran, Security.

So help me out with this, feel free to add to my idea or come up with your own name for the team, go ahead.

I would be on the captains' team, and in charge of post-dog peeing protocols. And threatening to knock visiting diplomats on their ass, all in the name of being a trained diplomat. Guess whose team I'm on?

I guess I'd be in the science division with team Spock. To solve global warming we could invent the transporter, lock on to all the carbon dioxide molecules, and start beaming them into space until the levels come down to a reasonable amount.
