I've been talking with a new friend I met here, and I am so fascinated to learn he has never seen or heard of grey eyes before. It's not something I've ever thought about, I feel it is so amazing how unique and beautiful peoples' eyes are, and I was just curious about rarity.

I'm just interested if people want to share, what color your eyes are, are there any you have never seen, like my friend?

Blue.

I must not be very observant, though, 'cos I rarely notice or remember what color eyes people have. Hell, it took years before I noticed that (in Trek) Betazoid eyes are all black...

Plain old brown... right in with over half the planet! ;)

I have heard of grey eyes before. But the only person I know IRL who has eyes that I would describe as grey, she calls pale blue, so I guess sometimes it's difficult to tell.

The only one on your list that I don't think I've heard of (in people, anyway!), is amber.

Oh really? That is so very interesting. I feel I am always noticing people's eyes. I remember so long ago stumping people in a Star Trek trivia game by asking "what is a unique common physical trait in Betazoids?", lol

I love brown eyes, I feel they are my favorite. Dark and dreamy.

I feel us greys often are confused for blue! If I am wearing blue, they can sort of seem to change color. It's not really the same though. :(

I think amber is common in asia! They made Jim Caviezel's eyes that color in "Passion of the Christ".

It might be the way the light catches the eyes which might cause them to appear more grey than they actually are.

People tell me my blue eyes are more blue-grey sometimes, but it changes depending on the light.

Blue or grey. Both my parents have blue eyes - very blue as was my brother's. Mine less so but that whole what you wear (and makeup), even sunlight seems to make a difference. Hubby has green eyes.
