I went outside just before I was about to go to bed and a snack flew into my side entryway (snacks are this household's name for moths). Sophie noticed and came into the catlock (airlock for cats) and I helped her get it. The other cats noticed. I went back outside and another snack flew in. Kaylee got this one. Out again, in again, another snack. Willow was feeling left out, so I invited her into the catlock and helped get the moth down from the light for her. She pretty much ignored it and got annoyed. I accidentally stepped on her tail (lightly) and she screamed and wanted out. I let her out and Kaylee came back in and got that one. Out again...and yes, another snack. This time Sophie was right there. Took some doing and convincing her that I wasn't just trying to shove a bottle in her face (I got the critter to land on my water bottle and I brought it down to Sophie that way. She eventually got it. By this time Willow was feeling REALLY left out, so I went out again and there was a BIG moth (not HUGE, but bigger than the previous ones). I caught it with my hand and brought it over to her on my printer. I threw it onto the printer and it landed in the printed paper tray (on this printer the tray is on top and it angles back into the top of the printer), She sniffed a little, pawed a little, then turned her head. Kaylee was paying CLOSE attention, so once Willow had decided to be a butt, I showed Kaylee and she went after it, getting it out of the back of the tray with both front paws. She enjoyed the hell out of that snack.
Now Willow is cranky and is ignoring me. I think she didn't actually want a snack but wanted to go outside (not after dark, young lady! There be owls and foxes around here.).
Oh, yeah. Almost forgot. Now I can't sleep. Wide awake.
