Sorry peoples.Cramps.
That's a curious descriptor! Hope everything is all right, sometimes I feel like tearing my hair out too. However I torture it enough with bleach and toners and stuff.Bald.

Do you think a trip to the doctor or a health nurse might be wise? I know it's not much fun and is expensive. It's good you are keeping a close eye on your readings though and the hair cut must be liberating!Nope! Really bald. Did it this afternoon. Well, I used a trimmer and didn't finish with a razor, but still, close enough.
I've been having serious blood-glucose issues lately which are bringing about serious overheating, and the more I can remove (legally) the better.
Throughout the day today, I believe I've taken something like 60 or more units of insulin. I had four biscuits (Southern US, not UK) and one bowl of cereal. I started to get into the normal range, but I did not, at any point, go low.
Something is wrong.

Scribble, I don't even know what to say. I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through all this right now. Please take care of yourself, and I hope your health issues manage to turn around quickly. Best wishes.
I feel terrible for you, for a few reasonsI'm not sure where you are, but I happen to be lucky enough to live in the US with "The best damn health system in the world!!!"
Yeah...not.
I do need to see my doctor again, but, as you say, even with insurance it's too expensive for me at the moment. I've checked all the dates and they haven't expired, but I'm surviving on my dead dad's supply of insulin right now. Without it, I wouldn't have any. Well, until I found out that the center of all evil (Walmart) has affordable insulin, so when I run out I'll (hopefully) be able to get some of that. I actually just purchased a new meter and test strips today as I just ran out of my (and my dad's) supply of test strips for the mainstream tester I had. The strips were around $50 for 25. I go through at least four per day. At least. More with this control issue.
See, the thing is, I can take twenty units one day, have my regular food, and come back later and my sugar has skyrocketed. The next day I can take five units, have the same food, and I'll crash almost to the point of passing out or having another low-glucose-induced heart attack. Yes, I said another.
Thank you (I do mean it).

My brother had diabetes he struggled and I can only imagine his fight. It's alarming because you and another poster on this board have shared how expensive and vulnerable you are because of your health system.
Hope things improve.
I'm not sure where in the U.S. you live but my mom gets my dad's test strips free from Publix. If you don't live in the southeast, perhaps another supermarket chain with a pharmacy might have a similar thing? Publix also has some free antibiotics and Metformin.I'm not sure where you are, but I happen to be lucky enough to live in the US with "The best damn health system in the world!!!"
