Explain your user name!

Well mine's obvious. Although she was only in 2 episodes of TNG (why did they kill me off?!) I thought K'Ehleyr was a fabulous character, an intriguing mix of human and Klingon traits ~ strong, courageous, intelligent yet humourous and a brilliant communicator. It wasn't a hard choice ~ I wish I had her batlh.
And I'd like to be able to wear a leather cat suit like that too

Please abbreviate it to K'Eh, 'cos it's a bugger to spell ;)

Síor is my nickname. Long and dull reason for it, but it's a prefix meaning always/ever. It's pronounced 'Sheer'.

Signing up, the name was too short, so I stuck an 'X' on the end. So now it's pronounced Sheer-ex, or She-Rex, or even She-Wrecks.
It was too short? I'm pretty sure there are many people (including myself) with 4-character names. Maybe something got changed when we moved over to vBulletin a while back. I know that happened on another board I'm on, and I had to ask the mods to fix things so I could re-register with my original name.

It's odd. Because I've noticed since that there are four-letter handles, and if I type 'Sior' in on the registration form now it says it's grand. Yet at the time I remember it not working, and there's no other reason, apart from trying to lengthen the name, for me to have stuck on a prosthetic 'X'.

^^ Same thing happened to me. I tried to register as just "RJ," but it was too short so I stuck on a prosthetic "Diogenes."

It's my email address... And it's because at that time i owned a Saturn. the numbers are what the mail server gave me.

Hmmm, I may well have been, I forget if I ever actually had my username as that, though I think people certainly called me that at any rate.

I'm good, thank you. :) :techman: How are you, how's America?
America is great and so am I, feeling great anyways. Thanks.

As for Fleetlord, when I joined this forum way back when, I wanted to use either Sith Lord or Fleet Commmander (in hindsight, years later I think those were stupid choices) but they were taken, so i combined them. A year or 2 later Thomas Turtledove wrote a book with a character named Fleetlord, but that is not where my screen come from. Since then, my name is just 'Tom' on all the other Star Trek and Scifi websites/forums I have created. This is one of the only places left I go by Fleetlord.

I wanted a "Trekkie" name but not too obvious. I like time travel and always thought the character in "Carbon Creek" was kind of romantic in a semi-doomed sort of way. Despite making a state spelling bee years ago I can't spell for #@&% so it came out Mistral instead of Mistrel. Memory Alpha has the correct spelling. Did I mention that I'm also fundamentally lazy?;)

I didn't bother to look it up. Then I double-goofed. I started writing/submitting fanfics over here and had to stay with the name for recognition purposes or lose my audience of two. :shifty:

Ironically, other than Ad Astra(see sig), I don't use it anywhere else on the Internet. My usual handle is Cable 99, named after the Xman of the same name. The night Xbox Live came on I signed up at 3 am-and someone had already gotten Cable, so I added 99. :scream: After 7 years of playing and God knows how many websites, etc I am Cable 99. Except around here. :)

My name is based on a poem written by General Patton "Through a glass, darkly" (also a Bible verse)- the poem pretty much talks about a warrior who is reincarnated over and over again to fight in battles throughout history.

"So as through a glass, and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises
Many names, but always me."

I'm the man looking through the glass thus Lookingglassman.

^I always thought yours was Alice in Wonderland related. :)

I love their costumes and my husband made me a cool avatar... took a sexy picture of me and turned me green... unfortunately I haven't had enough time to post enough and so can't use it yet!

My loving peers in high school gave me this name. My maiden name is Brewster. The nickname grew with me and I am still to this day known as Punky. :)

Mine comes from The Menagerie, Part 1. Commodore Mendez received an order signed "Comsol, Starfleet Command". I remembered seeing that in the Star Trek Concordance when it first came out in 1975 (the Ballentine Edition) and it had stuck in my mind. When I needed a user name, that's what I came up with.

Mine was supposed to be derived from the Herkimer Battle Jitney from Mystery Men, but I typo'd and... it kinda stuck.
