Chris Kuhn made this lovely CG model of the Excelsior, so I couldn't help but make a beauty flyby.
Still a beautiful ship, too bad we never had a Sulu on the Exelsior show during the Lost Era.
By god that’s a big ship.Chris Kuhn made this lovely CG model of the Excelsior, so I couldn't help but make a beauty flyby.
Never got the love for this idea. I thought Sulu in "Flashback" wasn't very good.Still a beautiful ship, too bad we never had a Sulu on the Exelsior show during the Lost Era.
Neither were the first few seasons of TNG, DS9 or Enterprise; all improved over time.
Using a hastily slapped together, semi-canon Voyager outing (since it really doesn't match up with TUC well at all!) probably isn't the best basis for an estimation of quality.![]()

Wouldn't we get three boring seasons of Sulu drinking tea and the crew studying gaseous anomalies...yawn. (Why does this remind me of TNG?)Still a beautiful ship, too bad we never had a Sulu on the Exelsior show during the Lost Era.

Stardate 9521.6, Captain's log, U.S.S. Excelsior. Hikaru Sulu commanding. After three years I've concluded my first assignment as master of this vessel, cataloguing gaseous planetary anomalies in the Beta Quadrant. We're heading home under full impulse power. I am pleased to report that ship and crew have functioned well.
