Everyone's favorite time travel episode?

and when all the different Enterprises appear through the rift and you see Riker and Worf aboard a battle-torn ship from a universe where the Borg have all but destroyed the Federation.

That was "Parallels", not "All Good Things"

LoL..... you're right. It's been a long day

We were discussing "Parallels" in the Worf/Troi thread and somehow I let that creep into my discussion of AGT.

Thanks, I feel retarded now :(

"Yesterday's Enterprise" and "All Good Things" for me.

I suppose you'll all pounce on me for not saying "City on the Edge of Forever"...

Hell no, I didn't even particularly like City on the Edge of Forever.

All Good Things, all the way.

Wait, can I vote Star Trek IV?

I think two of the more underrated time travel episodes are "Clues" and "Time Squared". I believe they're certainly better and more deserving of places on the "Time Travel Fan Collective" DVD set than that lame "Time's Arrow" two-parter.

It's easy to forget that "Clues" involved time travel because it was a mystery, but I think it was really creative the way it used that element, and the show has so much 'rewatch value' because the mystery was so intelligently constructed that it's easy for me to forget all of its details and be surprised by the resolution again and again after not watching it for awhile.

"Time Squared" is kind of a less epic, more simplistic version of "Cause and Effect", but I think it's just as dramatically effective. I love Picard's disgust and bewilderment at his freaked out clone from the future, and the hilarious moment when they both answer as someone calls for the captain. The scene of the crew listening to recordings of the ship's destruction and Picard's log about it is awesomely creepy and intense too.

My favourite episode involving Time Travel is, of course, "Trials and Tribble-Ations". I love "City on the Edge of Forever" too, and while a lot of the Ferengi comedy episodes annoy me, I found "Little Green Men" delightful. I usually can't stand Rom's voice, but when he yells "Moogie!", that's one of my favourite DS9 moments.

By the way, to the person thinking Nana Visitor wasn't on the "Trials and Tribble-Ations" mission because she was Bajoran, I read that the real reason she's sitting for the whole episode is because the actress was pregnant and her pregnancy had not been written into the show's storylines yet.

I look forward to re-watching those.

And she was carrying Bashir's actor's child no less. :) Her pregnancy is worked into a plot-arc.

Yes that's right, didn't they even work in a line where Kira says "This is all your fault!" to Bashir? Or was that ab-libbed by Nana Visitor?

Yeah, that was written in the script as an inside joke for fans aware of what was going on behind the scenes. I loved that.

I really don't consider "Year of Hell" a time travel episode. No time travel whatsoever actually went on.

I don't think anyone's mentioned them yet, but the two that most stand out for me, probably because they're so poignant, are DS9's 'The Visitor' and Enterprise's 'Twilight.' I think those two episodes are arguably the best of those respective series. (Or would those be considered 'alternate realities' ... ?)

And, of course, lots of the episodes mentioned are favorites of mine, too. Of ones not mentioned, I'd add 'Timescape' and 'Shockwave, Part One.'

Timescape really isn't a time travel episode...they don't really travel in time except maybe a couple of seconds. Still love the episode though.
Don't really care for "The Visitor" at all to be honest.
No love for "Before and After" here?

It's on the "Time Travel Fan Collective" DVD set, though...unfortunately. :( I bought the set for other episodes, but decided to watch it since I own it. I'm surprised so many people liked it. This may be the episode that single-handedly killed any chance of me ever getting interested in Voyager. I got confused and stopped caring really early. It bored me out of my mind.

Yeah I know it is, don't know what they were thinking really.
It involves manipulation of time not time travel.
You didn't like "year of hell" ay? Hmmm.
I like Voyager (not as much as DS9 or TNG though), here are some of my favorite

Blink of an Eye
Barge of the Dead (written by Ron Moore)
Before & After
Night
Waking Moments
Hope and Fear

TOS: All Our Yesterdays
TNG: All Good Things
DS9: Trials and Tribble-ations
VOY: Endgame
ENT: Shockwave

I really liked DS9's Visionary. In addition to being a good time travel episode, it was another installment in the torture O'Brien theme. Poor Miles.

I like the TNG two-part episode Time's Arrow. It had interesting aliens and when they found Datas head back in the 1800's it was a huge surprise moment! Also we got to see how Guinan and Picard first met.
