I was surprised to find out that my brother (never a trekkie or even sci-fi fan) LOVES this show! He called me the other night to tell me he was watching it... never misses an episode.
I teased him a little about being a Trekkie-nerd. We had a few laughs and I told him about the white-board. Now he's looking for new references, too.
Perhaps this shows just how mainstream sci-fi has become. Everyone knows a little about ST or SW these days. They may not be obsessed with it, but they are familiar with it.

Did anyone catch the classic transporter debate from a few weeks ago? You know, the one we have had for years about if the person coming out the process is the real you, or just a copy and the real you is dead?

I was on the floor laughing.

It's me and my oldest daughter's fav show next to "Doctor Who", but unfortunately, I keep forgetting to record it and have to watch it online a lot. (I missed the last two weeks - so hence my daughter has as well ) But my VCR (yeah, I know, need to upgrade) is set and ready to go for tonight!!!

From what I have read the actors really are trek fans and xbox geeks. That's why they are able to argue so convincingly because they have already had that arguement in real life and the writers just reuse it
