Eurovision 2009

Best song so far, Sweden, by an absolute mile.
I agree. Just needed a bit of tweaking in the tuning and it would have been perfect.

Still early days, though, and we've got something typically Mediterranean now from the Croatian entry.

This is all making the UK entry seem definitely average, it seems...

I usually watch the finals, so haven't heard any of the songs yet...

Agree with you on Sweeden so far.

Portugal are breaking with tradition: that tradition that says pop singers have to be thin and glamourous. And able to sing in tune.

Hmm, the wife loved Portugal's entry. Not as good as Sweden's, but better than most that have gone so far.

That may not have been the best singer so far, but I've liked Portugal best at this stage, followed by Sweden.

But nothing I really liked so far (obviously judging by Eurovision standards).

Portugal's presentation reminded me of the winning Serbian entry a short while ago. We'll see...

Now it's the distinctly non-Lazytown-esque vibes of the Iceland entry. :(

Depends what you're looking for. It was actually quite a catchy song. And the lass singing enjoyed singing it. But she was off key in several places. I can overlook that in favour of class - for which read she kept her clothes on.

Iceland's song is quite good, marred only by the naff key change.

You think Iceland should enter Stephanie?

Hell yeah! :bolian:

Yeah, I liked the Iceland entry too. Don't know if it will win.

Speaking of LazyTown, the Greek singer is worryingly of the Sportacus mould...

Considering that Iceland's was supposed to be a contender, it didn't do anything for me.

A healthy dose of cheese from Greece. Considering some of their previous entries over the last few years, not bad. Will probably do well. Better than us at any rate!

Norton is warming up. I'm guessing he's had a couple of glasses now. He's actually made me laugh a couple of times. Mind, that could be because I've had a couple of glasses...

The Russian woman is really forcing her voice with that song. Doesn't sound at all healthy. Please God don't let block voting....
