"Sue" -- her real name was Katie, my dear special and wonderful friend -- died last night in Australia. Her sister is flying there now.

Whoah, sorry to hear about that. My sincere condolences to you.

I've mentioned it elsewhere but I wanted to let anyone know who inquired here -- Katie died from a ruptured cerebral aneurysm. Her sister and family are making funeral arrangements now and are obviously devastated. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't also. Anyway, thank you all for your sympathies; i appreciate it.

That's awful. The same thing happened to a friend of mine several years ago. She didn't die, but she came close; and she is now severely compromised. I'm very sorry, doubleoh.
